Questions about the SoC (in General)

I know the SoC works lowering physical damage, but does it help lower GA damage as well?

More than the standard + on the shield.

I know that GA damage is not strictly magic or physical but special in its own right, but perhaps letting it reduce GA damage by .5% per + would be a nice boost to it. Giving mages a nice shield to use and tanks a nice choice of either BoM vs MgS vs SoC.

MS is fine for mages if used with Armor Prof.

I like the SoC the way it is, DM already is a counter for GA.

Now making the SoC work against EC in some fashion would be kinda neat.

I dunno, the SoC is already powerful, with the ability for a tank to do double the absorbed damage. It's already a fine choice for a tank who uses the right weapon with it.

I'm sure this was bought up a little while ago. :/ Can't remember the specifics, but it was something alsong the lines of GA is it's own type of damage now, and doesn't return Physical/Magical basd on what the attack was (as it used to, or at least should have). And that either the SoC or MGS worked versus it. But can't remember which. :/

And the new 'Discussion Posts' pages make it unfeasilbe to look back through past threads to find the one in question. :(

Don't quote me on this, but I tihnk it was either the MGS or maybe the RBF that reduced GA damage.

Probably nailing it as a sot of psuedo Magic damage (but I tohught total AC reduced GA returns, not just +, which would make GA even more in need ot rebalancing, if there was any doubt left).

My typing is getting worse. :/

Yea, GA is very powerful, that is why I was hoping for another way aside from my more HP or more + on the armor to combat it.

I know the RBF counters it in that the RBF damage is not subject to GA.

The MgS does not lower GA damage.

you all know that the kind of damage you give to a GA target the GA returns the same kind of damage.

You give melee damage to the GA, GA returns melee damage. Same is for DD.

So yes the SoC will lower GA damage if the damage you give to the GA target is of melee or ranged type.
