If you haven't seen it ... GO NOW!
I still wanna see this, Inglorious Basterds, Gamer (this Friday), and Matt Damons new movie, The Informant...
Inglorious was great... I'm now angry I saw it because tonight could have been the second time I saw D9

I've seen both and recommend them, but rather then simply "chiming in" which doesn't realy help anyone here on deciding whether or not to see it, I'll give you a bit of a review.
Inglourious Basterds - This is a great Tarentino flick, interesting mix of unique camera-work along with a set of memorable characters. The gore was on par with a Sam Raimi film. The historically important characters are rather forgettable, but the movie has some very satisfying moments.
District 9 - Not a standard alien/scifi flick. The scifi element of this movie is definitely not used as an excuse to show flashy effects. You might even care about the characters. Very satisfying for scifi fans, solid story, and bit of political intrigue.

Other one isn't PG.
Haven't seen D9 yet, but it's going to be hard to beat Inglourious for me.
I think I'll go see D9 now. ;) Caught the trailer when going to see something else and though /meh.
I'd like to add a film (that got slated by the critics) that I really enjoyed recently as well. Push. ;)

I want to see this movie. I also was interested in Push after seeing the preview.

Absolutely
The beginning of D9 was excellent, but the end just felt like any other generic action flick.

That was hardly a generic ending. Just because the good guy gets a tiny shred of a victory doesn't automatically make it cliche. At least not necessarily in a bad way.

I think I might go see it. Is it scary/really gruesome in any way? I don't really like watching those kinds of movies.
It is both thrillingly scary (not horror scary) and gruesome, however I think it's worth the uncomfortable moments
I'm throwing a party of sorts this weekend so I'll work it into the schedule =)

Without doubt the worst film I can remember seeing.
In fairness though I've probably managed to forget the other really bad ones as I'm sure I'll forget this one in due course.
Double foul GB! Using admin powers to post, AND not liking D9.
