Any interest? We could play play money tournaments for a set CBD buy-in, winner take all? Is there any interest and if so what amount of CBD would people be willing to gamble? 50k+50k rebuy? Ideally we would limit it to CB players, so we'd need to find a site everyone is comfortable with that allows custom tournaments by invitation. Anyone know of such a site?

I would like to participate if enough people are willing to depending on timing and ruling we use.
I despise buy-in personally so might make vote on it or not and on what site to use once you have enough contestant.

AdmiralKiller mentioned getting it started a few months ago. There was some interest, but nothing ever got off the ground. If anyone's willing to set up a game, please do.
I'd be game also, pending my schedule fits.

Id be in line given im available by the time the tourney is run :) Gotta say I prefer single elimination over rebuy though, but id play anything for CBD though :) Not limited to texas holdem either, stud or omaha is also good, granted its PL or NL and not fixed limit :) NL/PL Stud is rather rare when it comes to game availability but its out there (at select sites)
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/tournaments.php
offers private tourneys invite only, not sure if that costs money.

I am 100% for this. Although, I play on Pokerstars. Send me a CM if this ever gets going, I filter out Off-Topic threads, so it won't show up on my radar.

I am having trouble finding a site that allows people to make custom tournaments for play money. Any ideas?

I used to use PokerRoom.com a long time ago. It's a safe bet that things have changed, but you might be able to make password-protected rooms.

Lets use Full Tilt.
Full Tilt lets you make custom tourneys for real money, and their software is the same for play money, so although I've only played real money, I'm certain it will work for our purposes. Another advantage Full Tilt has is that it has a fully functioning mac client.
I also think freezeouts are better than rebuy tournaments because of the extra step involved in transferring CB$ to the winners. This eliminates the confusion of "Let's see, did I buy 3 or 4 times? How much do I need to send over to the winner?" One entry makes it nice and clean.
I would be interested in playing, and I would be interested in playing for higher stakes as well as lower stakes - anything up to 5 million CB would be fine with me.

If someone can confirm that we can create the type of table and tournament we need for this using free money then we should all get on that one.
I vote for no-rebuys and entry from 5k-1M could be fine with me.
All I have installed is pkr and it's not the best site out there.
Can't wait to hear good news and date for this splendid event.
The best way to do it would be set up a time 1 or more times weekly and do it every week...even thou some will not make it one week...Enough will make it once it gets rolling to keep it going weekly.

absolute poker requires a download though im sure we can get tables for cb players its free aside from having to play with real dollars. up to 8 or 9 per table is the problem though
