Buggy extension? (in General)

AdminJonathan September 12 2009 3:00 PM EDT

A few users are spamming the living hell (yeah, that's a technical term) out of /ajax/ba.tcl. deifeln7 is one, --- is another. What's up, guys?

Burton September 12 2009 3:03 PM EDT

What am I doing? All I am doing is fighting at the moment. I'm so confused. :(

noidraug September 12 2009 3:04 PM EDT

Think that since the addition of fight feed BA doesn't automatically update like before. It remains at zero at all times, only if complete reload of page or trying to fight.

QBJohnnywas September 12 2009 3:13 PM EDT

BA isn't refreshing. Refresh button getting a lot of use right now.

AdminShade September 12 2009 3:14 PM EDT

BA is refreshing for me normally, using FF 3.5.3. here.

AdminJonathan September 12 2009 3:18 PM EDT

this isn't "clicking a lot on a link," this is 10+ times per second :)

Burton September 12 2009 3:22 PM EDT

I can assure you I am not clicking nearly as much as that. :P
But I am trying to get through my BA with this lag, not going to well I think. (1click/second)

AdminJonathan September 12 2009 3:25 PM EDT

My current hypothesis is that there is a bug in the sidebar javascript, where every time you refresh it, it sets up another timer to ask for ba.

If this is correct, it would help if you quit your browser (entirely) and restart.

Burton September 12 2009 3:30 PM EDT

I refreshed just to see what would happen and some links work when I click on them (home, my character) and some links do not work (fight, get more BA)

Burton September 12 2009 3:34 PM EDT

Restarted Opera and links are clickable again and no more lag, thanks. :)

iBananco [Blue Army] September 12 2009 5:49 PM EDT

So that's why it was lagging.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] September 14 2009 3:40 PM EDT

Has this been fixed completely? B/c if not I think a few people need to re-open their browsers....

AdminShade September 14 2009 3:59 PM EDT

I believe this is the fix: BA refresh bug fixed
