There, this weeks Economic Report has finished.

I'm now going to work on putting up the Spells page. :)

There's an increase in Active Users. Yay!

AdminShade September 13 2009 8:55 AM EDT

One of 10% even, and we have a lot more clans also!

AdminShade September 13 2009 3:41 PM EDT

Spells and Skills pages are implemented also.
I have chosen to split them because otherwise you wouldn't be able to quickly view it.

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] September 13 2009 3:51 PM EDT

Awesome!

AdminShade September 14 2009 2:11 PM EDT

Most interesting stats would be the following:

+5 Supporter Items
40% more fights in addition to 10% more active users and 70% more clans.
2% less total experience trained into HP, instead Enchant Offense spells were all trained more.
8 less Gloves of Mercy in the game!

Demigod September 14 2009 4:30 PM EDT

So what's the deal with "Standard Clans Extant" and "Number of Battles"?

The 40% and 70% respective increases don't seem to make sense.

Demigod September 14 2009 4:31 PM EDT

I flipped the percentages, but still...

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] September 14 2009 4:33 PM EDT

ha ha i have two of those GoM's

They are collecting dust.

AdminShade September 14 2009 4:42 PM EDT

AK: those Gloves of Mercy disappeared, not ended up at a user...

Demigod: I don't know the connection but I think more clans means more fights. The huge increase in both however perhaps means more people made their own clan instead of being in big clans.

More clans however, also means more clan bonuses :)

Demigod September 14 2009 5:17 PM EDT

And 40% more battles in a week?

AdminShade September 14 2009 5:20 PM EDT

Perhaps some forgers who didn't have a contract and decided to fight?
Perhaps more players who went fighting more?

Perhaps a combination of factors, I'm not making things up...

Demigod September 14 2009 5:32 PM EDT

That would take a lot of forgers to switch over. Right now, the Community tab shows 63,590 fights in the past 24 hours. Times seven, that gives us 445,130 fights per week. 40% of that figure is 178K.

That must be larger than a standard deviation. And if you look back at the '08 numbers, things get worse:

August 10, 2008: 1,062,752
August 17, 2008: 580,724

These are all pulled on Sundays. I think they're being pulled at times that either double-dip or exclude some of the wacky-XP time when fights are so concentrated. That's the only likely cause I can see.

AdminShade September 15 2009 1:22 AM EDT

Those numbers are all calculated from a weekly total. they cannot exclude wacky experience time...
