Targeting question (in General)

Why is it, that when you have two damage dealers on one team, if the first dealer does enough damage to kill the opposing front minion in that round then the second damage dealer hits the next minion in line?

I thought everyone fired at once, in which case two damage dealers should target the same front minion shouldn't they?

Against Ranger's team the different targeting of the Hal and archer are obvious:

Hal skewered Munch Bunch [1016140]
Hal skewered Munch Bunch [881414]
Hal struck deep into Munch Bunch [681381]
Hal cries "I can't let you do that, Dave!"
Dog hit Kano-san with The Lunatic [1923207]
Dog struck deep into Kano-san with The Lunatic [2295565]
Dog cries "Ha Ha Charade You Are!"

That's all in one round.

we ran into this with the resurrection threads as well. some things must be happening first or we would not have the results we do.

Team versus team I can almost understand: the attacking team getting an element of surprise for instance.

But in the case of the above Ranger's tank is either waiting for the Hal to fire, or knows the Hal is going to kill in that round so doesn't waste any arrows on a dead minion.

It's no big shakes, but I never realised until recently that it worked out that way.

here is my post from the other thread:

if it truly all happened at once, then it wouldn't be an issue as the minion could take more damage since the regen kicked in simultaneously and it would die.

it is not all happening at the same time though, the regen is happening after the damage is applied.

ie. if a minion has 1,000,000 hp and it takes 1,500,000 damage and had a regen of 3 percent. it would all happen at once and the minion with 1,030,000 hit points would die, no?

since it is not all happening at once, changing the order would make more sense or truly make it all happen at once. "

I would agree, however NS did chime in about the TSA/PL/revive situation and stated things were working as intended.

But to the first post, this is why a FB/archer combo works great.

The FB goes first and takes out the pesky low hp minions in front and lets the archer get to the beefy minions in back.

Unless of course you are up against a PL/TSA/revive minion, which a lot of characters have now.
