DB's VS Evasion (in General)

I recently described a new strategy in the page E:RoBF. This also revolved around the idea XP vs NW.

Evasion takes up a lot of XP to train, but can be boosted multiple ways. However since Evasion takes a lot of XP, you need to train dexterity for Evasion to work effectively, you need to train HP and AMF. This is a lot of XP dilution, I wondered what if I replaced the evasion given by the skill and replaced it by evasion given by DB's, they both work in the same way, reducing PTH and they both stack with the evasion the RoBF gives the same way.

IMO, since DX is the greatest CTH and even BTH killer in CB, I wanted the strategy to max out on DX. The DB's take care of the PTH and the DB's + AoI take out the remaining CTH.

I believe the DB's + DX is more effective VS tanks/Archers then the skill evasion + DX strategy, since you can maximize on DX.

Any thoughts?

After a certain point, most of your exp is being wasted in DX. For example, if you have 4M DX, and your opponent(tank) has 3M DX. Their CTH(before pth) will be 75%, if you had 5M it would be 60% and with 6M it would be 50%, this just continues. After a certain point, it's better to add 1M HP, than it is just to lower their cth by 10%.

One big reason why evasion works better when used in conjunction with Dex is because you can then use EB to their full effect. Using DB cuts a lot of your potential dex out.

Do not forget evasion gets multipliers in ranged rounds.

And as others stated evasion let's you use EBs which can add 40+ AC.

But the DB's can be massive. If you consider that CTH is made up by PTH and BTH.

With the massive DB's, for instance, +200, in most cases you only have the BTH left with to reduce, combine that with the AoI that cuts the BTH with 20. Then if reduce the remaining CTH down to 50% or lower that is much more effective then with evasion, since 200 evasion given by the skill takes a huge amount of XP. XP that can be used for HP and DX.

Yes the EB's give a nice boost to the skill and with an AoF you get another nice boost to evasion. And no that 40 AC doesn't make a single difference in damage. Everything below the 300 AC you hardly notice.

7% is 7%

Yes. If you have a spare 70m, DB are better if you can fit them under your ENC load.

Single minion can have huge encumbrance lvls, so that is a non issue. And in this cas NW is better then XP.
