300,000 explosive barrels in UT2k4.
The full lake-bed explosion is (sadly without the 1812 Overture): here.

kevlar October 8 2009 11:24 AM EDT

lol, wow. I really hope they had some map editor or something instead of having to lay down the barrels one x one! (I never played UT2k4:( )

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 8 2009 11:59 AM EDT

Here's what the creator said about it: "As for making the maps, there wasnメt any secret, it just took time. Place a few barrels, duplicate, place those, select all, duplicate, repeat repeat repeat until the map is full."

Lord Bob October 8 2009 12:30 PM EDT

Amazing.

The map editor in Ut2k4 is actually quite good and user friendly. Ive played with it a little bit and managed to make a pretty nifty staircase maze level (similar to the one in 'The Labyrinth').

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] October 8 2009 12:44 PM EDT
