TSA idea from left field.... (in General)

Lochnivar October 23 2009 11:37 AM EDT

So, that TSA HP regen?

Let's get rid of that, maybe give it to an EH or MCM, who cares.

The TSA should instead regen STR (say 3% of the trained level (not boosted)....

Le voila... no further need to nerf the exbow..

Damn I'm good.

+5

Implement this now

Marlfox [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 23 2009 11:39 AM EDT

That would be great.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 23 2009 11:40 AM EDT

HP regen should be moved to a helm, one that gives a boost to VA.
Say 0.1% regen per plus (with a curve similar to an HoE).

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] October 23 2009 11:42 AM EDT

capped at original strength?

QBRanger October 23 2009 11:42 AM EDT

Nope,

Then you have ToA users lost to the wind. And please none of that "you choose to go with a ToA". A ToA is perhaps the only way to reduce the dex BTH of the exbow and even then you get hit due to leadership.

Who cares about 3% regeneration when you get hit a couple time and go into the high negatives.

-600k strength while regenerating 400k a round seems a pathetic solution to a problem item.

And if you get hit again and again?

I would rather just fix this abusive, broken, stupid item. Or fix the reason for it existing.

Rubberduck[T] [Hell Blenders] October 23 2009 11:44 AM EDT

sounds like a reasonable idea, exbow would still be a problem for ToA users.

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] October 23 2009 11:45 AM EDT

Seriously? The TSA?

Let me just equip that with my ToA... Oh wait...

And as Ranger said, the ToA is a pretty important piece of equipment when trying to survive against an Exbow so who in their right mind wouldn't wear one to compete against it?

Solare October 23 2009 11:47 AM EDT

No, I'd rather see the Combat Gi regen STR, and leave TSA where it's at.
That or Helm's Gauntlets. It would certainly make those items more useful than they currently are.

Solare October 23 2009 11:48 AM EDT

Good idea though!

Lochnivar October 23 2009 11:54 AM EDT

ah yes.... but I can't wear it with my ToA!

though you do get nifty dex and pth benefits from the TSA right?

this is kind of the point of 'choice' is it not?

If you were to choose another armour slot it would have to be a valuable on... gloves? pfft.... I'd gladly swap my TGs for that... and so would everyone else...

It does need to be a choice... no cake-and-eat-it here!

kevlar October 23 2009 12:07 PM EDT

"HP regen should be moved to a helm, one that gives a boost to VA.

If you did that, then it could be junctioned over to a familiar, making it OP most likely. If moved, would have to go to an armor or cloak (unless regen was something to ponder junctioning).

Nehemiah October 23 2009 12:58 PM EDT

or have TSA regen hp and stre!!!!

I bet that would sell more TSA, more money for CB!

God Bless you!

Jesus Loves you!

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] October 23 2009 1:04 PM EDT

3% is not enough, plain and simple. Plain and Simple!

QBJohnnywas October 23 2009 1:08 PM EDT

I'll have ST regen please.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] October 23 2009 1:18 PM EDT

This won't solve anything, even a two year old could conceptualize why this won't work. It's an ok idea in its basis, but it needs *a lot* of tweaking. First off, 3% is hardly viable, especially since the exbows are going to just put you back into the negatives with every hit. Even if you kill the enchanter after the second hits. It will take you 33 rounds to get back to your original ST. Who do you expect to beat with that? Secondly, if you make it where the % regen is high enough that it is actually effective, you are going to have another problem: the above mentioned ToA. While I do understand the concept of choice, this is not a choice at all. (Unless you include suicidal choices) This would be practically eliminate the ToA as a practical tattoo for tanks. Everyone would be smart to just run TSA/EC tanks with junctioned Hals/SFs. Seems to be working well for Ranger, and with this, he wouldn't be getting hurt by the exbow as much. Need more of an explanation?

Lord Bob October 23 2009 1:43 PM EDT

I agree with Ranger and Titan.

And you should all know my opinion on covering up broken items by adding options rather than fixing the broken item by now.

Nehemiah October 25 2009 1:11 PM EDT

The only reason xbow is called broken is because there is no counter to it at this time thats reasonable, if the TSA armor did have a sizable stre regen, then xbows wouldnt be broken anymore, because if you really wanted, you could have a way to counter them.

why nerf xboxs directly, offer a good counter, leave the options for both.

more options, more strats, more fun.

iBananco [Blue Army] October 25 2009 1:13 PM EDT

An amulet that instakills teams with names starting with a vowel and a piece of body armor that puts a consonant in front of your team's name do not result in more options.

Lord Bob October 25 2009 1:52 PM EDT

"The only reason xbow is called broken is because there is no counter to it at this time thats reasonable,"

No.

It is broken because it can easily do 100% stat drain to any tank. Fix that, and you fix the ExBow.
