Final fantasy (in Off-topic)

is there going to be a new FF for PS3??

there will always be a final fantasy in the making until humans no longer live. It is a proven money making industry. However if your question is "will it come out on PS3 or PS4" that's a good question.

if you were to actually search online you'd see that it will be sometime next year. likely Spring or Summer but chances are it will be put back a little.
Story sounds stupid though.

I haven't played FF in about a decade, but I just checked JoyStiq.com and saw that they list FF 13 with both 360 and PS3 tags.

I can't find my old copy of FF7 , ran into my old dusty PS1 and was gunna take it for a spin, but that was the only reason I bought it and the only game I had. FF2 is my fav.

Which of the ones post 7 is the best?

I wish I had 300 for a PS3... for all that system does... and not to mention cracking the Wii's pricetag finally.

next year final fantasy 13 will come out on ps3, its not out yet and yet they are already buzy with final fantasy 14
if im not mistaken they also working on final fantasy 7 for ps3

FF8 was the best post FF7 game, IMO. FFX was pretty good too, but not for PS1.

They are not updating FF7 for PS3 and have no plans to ever do it, you can however download the PS1 version from the PSstore as I did since it is less than 1/3 the price of any PS1 copy due to rarity value.

FF6 with Kefka,Terra and Emperor Gestahl ftw :) Its probably some nostalgic about it, I was pretty young back then. Played all the final fantasies from 1 to 10 and the 6 and 7 were the best in my oppinion.

6 was the best over all.

12 was the best of the PS2 games.

FF7 was fun, but I'm really not to crazy about the materia system.

ff7 = the best for me =) followed by X then X-2 (ps2 games)

other games i also like for ps along with ff7 was ff8 ff9 and legend of dragoon... these are awesome games =)

I didn't care much for that kind of Device Magic either ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FunctionalMagic ). I prefer the FFs where magic acquired is permanent and not just equipment.

I'm going to second Tactics as the best FF game.

XIV was announced because it is the new MMO, not another single player game like XIII.

360 is getting XIII
PS3 is getting XIII, and XIII Versus.

I enjoyed FFX the most and found the gameplay in FFXII really good with the gambit system.

but it wasn't everybody's cup of tea :)

No AoD, the head of Square has said they have absolutely no intention of it, by update I meant remake which would only really be to do with the graphics as they did with they older versions.

Tactics is was and will forever be the best FF game ever made. It was completely revolutionary at the time, and stomped so much face, that fans ran threw the streets of Tokyo causing a mass panic among uninformed people thinking Godzilla had returned. When in reality it was just people flocking to the stores to get a hold of this masterpiece.

Tactics had absolutely everything you could ask for in a "smart" game, the graphics were very very appealing at the time, the fighting system, storyline, music... this game has it all and then some. As well as almost infinite replayability.

Tactics > all.
