Hals and Jingos (in General)

I fight all 100% challenge rating guys, and I have to admit, having a Halidon or a Jingo has got to be the best protection against becoming a 100% CR farm for someone. There is one guy for instance about 50% more MPR than me, i'm at 750k he's at 1 mil or so. Anyways, none of his team can do anything to me at all except the hal, and that guy eats my lunch.

Makes me really want to get one of those guys for my next team, like your own personal bodyguard.

Odds are his team centers around the Hal. That's sort of like complaining that a tank team wouldn't be able to do anything if it didn't have weapons, and thus weapons are infinitely more useful than minions.

Oh I'm not complaining, just stating an observation. Hals and Jingos are tough for people lower MPR than you.

the game you are experiencing now is not a good indicator of many things. There are simply not many competitive players under you, and those who are have a much smaller fraction of your total exp.

I ate Hals alive when I was at a lower MPR because of my team's focus. It all depends on the strategy. In general Hal's are strong though. Jigs deal too little damage to be considered "tough" in my opinion.

I just don't have the same lower MPR problems with ice or fire familiars, electric can sometimes be tough too though. Hal's are definately the top of my list for avoiding.

Hals, I would say, are arguably the best familiar currently.
Jigs are better now because of Junction and SoC; they used to suck horribly.
But like everyone has stated so far, it becomes more competitive the further you go, and you'll likely see various combinations your team simply cannot beat.

Often, which tat you have trouble fighting higher up is specific to your own strategy.
