dungeons & dragons online now has... (in Off-topic)
a new subscription structure. the game is free but you pay for extra modules and convenience items. i had played when it was new and subscription based but had gotten to a point where you couldn't solo or progress very well.
now it seems that most quests have a solo option as well. i am just starting again so not sure how i will like it but it is free to try at least:

need to download something?
Yeah, it is around 6 gigs.
yep, but you can choose to use the downloader that lets you get started playing the game and then downloads the high-resolution game files as you play. ; )

Do not use the Turbine Download Manager. If you do choose to use that, once the game is fully downloaded, remove the TDM. It won't hinder your gameplay by removing it but it can hinder your gameplay by leaving it in. As of recent, the TDM has had issues where it won't recognize a working version of DDO and will force you to reinstall the game. Multiple times in one day.
everything's too big for me to play :(...wish my ISP would improve on services
thanks for the reminder on the downloader, i had meant to uninstall it but forgot!
did anyone try it?
i have been playing it again and the solo options are great now, which is one of the reasons i quit playing after release and i haven't even tried the hirelings yet.

Sorry, I'm now hooked on Dragon Age.
I've got a war hound which can fetch, brilliant!
Me and Rex play it. We are currently level 7, almost 8.
