Best or favourite browser for CB?
Is it just me or is Firefox really slow these days for almost anything?
Firefox, and its only slow for me on starting.
I used Firefox before, but it's getting slower and slower. I find that the best browser to play CB in is Chrome, currently. Lightning fast for me.
I think it has to do with flash cookies, which are difficult to remove. I used this and it sped up my firefox dramatically.

Thanks 3/4, that is an awesome add-on

I use Google Chrome for everything, these days. It works very well with CB.

Opera, hands down.
FF on PC-BSD is the fastest setup I've seen lately. Followed closely by FF on windows. Chrome still seems a little slower to me. Oddly the only real competition I've seen for it is the browser on androidx86 which seemed instant even running in a vm.

I used to use firefox but got bored of the startup time. Chrome suits my needs.

I've been trying Chrome this evening. It's faster than FF for me at least, although the flash cookie remover has helped a lot.
I've just been founding FF to freeze when you have more than two tabs at a time.

Also, I love the tab interface. Rearranging, and creating new windows and resizing equally is fairly easily.

Chrome doesn't work with posting well.
If you hit back to correct your post, it tells you to refresh to confirm. Refresh takes you back to the home page. As far as I know, I couldn't find a way to refresh a single frame in Chrome.

Right click in frame gives you reload options for that frame only.
I'm not seeing the problem you're describing.

Ahh, yep just tried it; no longer seems to be an issue.

Opera 10, the best currently IMO. My old pc in the office can't handle firefox because the program is extremely heavy...

Firefox 3.5, but I disable tabs, because I hate them.

Firefox for CB, IE for other items. I try to keep things segregated between browsers. I tried Chrome on another computer and it seems fine, but I have no intention of adding (or switching) another browser. I've never once tried Opera, though.

What benefits does IE have over any other browser?

IE for me? It has a hell of a lot of my non-entertainment "favorites" in it, as well as a convenient "in private" browsing option. Mostly, it's just an easy way to be sure my work/financial side doesn't get a crappy browser-hijacker. Firefox is what I use for browsing and playing.
Firefox and IE.
Firefox for when I do stuff,
IE for when I log on TP, and my countless other multis.
Cube - update to the latest chrome. It supports going backwards much better.
Demi - Chrome's private browsing is the best and easiest to use, but all three major browsers support it, not just IE.
Downside to chrome? This:

I've found that on here. It's intermittent, but has stopped me posting lengthy posts today.
JW, can you add a comment to the thread I linked? The chrome guys think I'm crazy.
never had a problem with IE going slow so never switched.

NS, done. Although my comment is under my wife's google username, as she never logged out!!!
Johnny, sounds like you had the same problem the geezer at number 3 did.
"Had the same problem while accidentally pressing two keys simultaneously in an input
box."
Where your problem isn't accidental, but using two keys at the same time for starting a new sentence with a capital letter.
