I've been followig my NW, as I've just shy of being able to wear some EBs I've rented.
But my equipped NW has increased from 8,063,000 to 8,200,000 (or roundabouts.
And I've no idea why!

Are you encumbered at all?
I will not ask the obvious you would not have posted this sooo.... I will present this maybe Jon/NS are testing out something to settle the NW/ENC deal that you(or JW?) brought up a while back concerning this.
Does naming increase the NW of items?
If not, i can see no way in which it should have increased.
btw you should see what your encumbrance is after equipping the EBs as they will boost your skill.
No ENC.
Could be Zen. ;)
I'm gonna keep a little closer eye on this, see if anything else changes.

Nah, was using the displayed amount both times. ;)
