I was able to undo the inking (to Lesser Ice Familiar) of my Lesser Rune of Solitude after I had put it in auctions.
Inking it then to another Tattoo was not able though.
Can this inking undo 'feature' be blocked during auctions?

would it work if you canceled the auction?

Not possible, the auction already had bids on it.

I suspect this is deliberate to stop switches mid-auction that may impact the buyer.
I don't really see a profitable exploit but I can see why it isn't allowed.

isn't it?
I started the auction of a Lesser Ice Familiar and got bids. Then I was able to undo the inking I had done and it now is a Lesser Rune of Solitude.

it would help greatly if I learned to read Shade :-)

Would help even more if I knew how to write :)

The auction house sees it as a Lesser RoS. Do a search in auctions for a tattoo type and it will call up a list that includes other types that have been inked. That little quirk probably allows the undo to work.
