Ready? Set? Plan! (in Changelog)
Enjoy the new clan wall. You can now plan with your team in an oft-requested environment that doesn't require coordinating chatmails.
Eventually (post cache-flush), clan owners will be able to somehow work with managing the messages (specifically, deleting them). That, or everything will break. We'll see.
Also, they may start to expire much like chatmail, after two weeks.
The chatmail function is still there for now.
Good Change, please keep the CM function there as well, would be really sad to see that go.

Thanks for the changes. Could there be an indicator at the top of the page to let us know if there's a new post? It may not be a problem on larger monitors, but it might be on phones and 17" monitors.
If we add a member, do they get the historically correct wall? Or only see anything posted after they join?

Looks good NS, could we get the "chatmail your clan" option at the bottom of the page rather then at the top. It just looks a bit messy up there : ) Keep up the good work!
I kind of like it at the top. It makes it really easy to send out CM if we want to. I also don't think it should be removed. It has its own use different from a clan wall.

Keep the CM function please. Conversation is easier in CM than posting on the wall.

I love the wall, but I see two problems:
1. Even on my big monitor, I can't see the chat wall without scrolling down. And since this feature won't be used every day, we likely won't scroll down every time we visit the page. There's no easy way to rearrange the items on that page without screwing something else up, so can we get a "new message" alert to appear at the top of the page?
2. Timestamps, please.

3. The wall needs to show comments in reverse order. Otherwise, we may have to scroll WAY down to see if new posts are even there.
Thanks Ns
its a nice change and those are good suggestions Demigod.

am i just missing it or is it not in yet?
also, is there any way we could get a time/date stamp on the wall posts?
another idea i had for an addition would be to add a line on the home page devoted to the clan wall that shows the most recent post title, author and date/time. if we get some kind of notification message, this wouldn't be necessary but if this idea was easier it would at least be an easy way to see if anyone has posted since you last looked from the home page.

The chatmail up top is awesome >:)

New members see the same that old members do. That is, the entire wall.
If you delete a post or a post expires (when those options become available), new members will obviously not see that. The wall is displayed the same for everyone.

2. Timestamps, please.
hmm... it looks like there are time stamps to me..... :) :) :)

Thanks for the timestamps. :)
Ok, it looks like clan owners just get to edit all messages, as opposed to deleting some. I'll look into that.

Hey NS, can you switch the default setting when clicking to edit your messages in the clan wall to 'plain text' instead of 'HTML'? I tried editing a message, but it didn't work. Then noticed all the BR tags in front of each line, etc... then switched to plain text and then whatever changes were typed, worked. But you have to manually clean up whatever HTML code is in the message.
Hmm.. not easily. When you type in plaintext, what you type is automatically converted to html. What you are seeing is your message post-conversion.
When an admin edits a forum post, they deal with the same thing.
Ok, clan owners can now edit all messages.
I tried to delete messages with the "edit" function, but that just leaves blanks and names, as if people posted empty messages.
Now that the "delete" function has appeared, I've tried it and I get the message stating that I need to be logged in as a site-wide administrator to delete -- this I cannot do.
Li'l help?
Work in progress, I guess. I wasn't sure if that delete link would work at all. I guess it won't :(
At least adding the link didn't break the clan view page again.
Do you get that notice when you first click Delete, or when you confirm the deletion?

I just tried deleting my own post, but there was not delete option. Erasing all text gave no different response than before (isn't allowed). Posts by other clan members had a delete option, but I got that same "site admin" message right after clicking the delete button.
Yeah, so basically, it's currently only going to show you the delete link if you're the clan owner, but not the post originator. And, the delete link won't work until you have a green Admin tag next to your name.
*sigh*
Easily solved: Just start handing out green admin tags! ;)

I can't read but can we reverse the order of the wall? Most recent posts at the top? It just seems logical.

You mean down?
I see what you did there, =P (In response to posts above this one, lol)
Can we get a little CM letting us know someone posted to the Clan Wall? Something like "New Clan Wall Message(s)."
