DX CTH Formula Preliminary Results (in General)

iBananco [Blue Army] December 13 2009 7:46 PM EST

Target DX: 100
As you can see, it's linear up until a ratio of 1, at which point the formula becomes BTH + f(Ratio), where f(1) = 0 and f(x) -> 100. In other words, above a ratio of 1, dex CTH differs exactly by how much BTH differs. It's every bit as hard to get an extra CTH for an ELB as a MH. More to come later.

So linear if you have lower dex and exponential if you have more dex.

Excellent work!

I guess after 2x dex advantage things quickly become more horizontal on the top of the curve.

As promised. DX -> DX CTH formula.
When ratio < 1, Dex CTH = BTH * Ratio.
When ratio > 1, Dex CTH = BTH + 100(1 - 1/Ratio^2.2).
Data set and fit:
The last column is the rounded values for the formula.

And sorry about breaking page widths.

Brilliant work. Not bad for just a few hours of available time.

CTH of a 100DX attacker if defending.

Did anyone put this in the wiki?

Going into melee reduces DX, CTH, and PTH all by 60%.
vs 20 DX:
428 ranged CTH: 199 from DX, 229 from +.
231 melee CTH: 139 from DX, 92 from +.

Lower than 1.0 archery decreases both CTH and PTH.
+0 short bow: 18 CTH
+10 short bow: 20 CTH

^ So does that mean it doesn't actually lower your DX? Just your DX cth?

iBananco [Blue Army] December 14 2009 10:29 AM EST

Archery doesn't touch your DX, but affects CTH and PTH. Going into melee drops all three.

Sorry, that should read BTH and PTH.
