.... or a Winter Hell, depending on your point of view.

Got on a plane yesterday at 4:30PM EST in JFK, got off the plane 6 hours later... still in JFK.

It's now 5:39 AM EST and I'm still stuck at JFK.

They booked me on a 7:30 flight out, but it's now delayed to 9AM.

I was supposed to be able to check in at 4:45AM, they still haven't opened the counter.

And there's no guarantee that we can fly even if we do get on the plane.

Last week we had a service engineer from Manchester visiting us at Tilburg. He flew through Schiphol in Amsterdam and he returned on Friday. I hope he made it...

My brother is there too Mitt. Was supposed to get in yesterday, they said probably Monday now due to the flight cancellations out of JFK. Possibly something available today, but still no word. My GF had an hour delay down south for de-icing, and now might miss her connection in Atlanta... there are numerous other flights scheduled for here later, but with the way things are sounding everywhere else, could be frustrating as well.

Rofl! On a side note, here in Dallas, Texas, there was ice on my car. When I got to work I was burning BA and came upon a bot check: Icy-Omen. Pretty fitting, don't you think?

I think Myth means 23 inches. ;)

Update: It is now 1:24 PM EST and I am currently on a plane (finally!) on my way back to SFO! (Yes, I get free wifi on the plane)

We took off at around 11, so yet another delay, but at least I'm going to get home today :)
