I go to bid on somthing in auctions i put higher then the highest bid which was like 35k for a tatty of aug lvl 20 really need one then its doing botting saying admin bee is besting me even after i put a bid? this is silly if u guys allow this kinda of auctioning kinda ruins the art of beating somone last second

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 24 2009 9:12 AM EST

You can put a higher amount in than the next bid minimum.

ShadyKoda December 24 2009 9:21 AM EST

still i understand its just not much of a auction then really auctioning sometimes involve watching till the very last second then bidding i know i do ebay stuff sometimes

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 24 2009 9:22 AM EST

Because sniping auctions sucks.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 24 2009 9:23 AM EST

Besides, if you bid at the last minute, it refreshes the time you have left, so you can continue to bid without time limit, until you run out of cash, don't want to spend any more, or beat the 'reserve' the current top bidder has placed.

ShadyKoda December 24 2009 9:26 AM EST

gives no real chance to ppl just starting i can understand later when u got the cash to spend

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 24 2009 9:30 AM EST

You've been playing for 2 days, and have a Lesser Tattoo of Augementation already. That will do you fine until you can build up the cash required to purchase something at 'market value', rather than trying to snipe to get something on the cheap.

You could always make a WTB post and ask for a base ToA, and offer to pay on a pay plan.

35K is a tiny amount to pay for a base Tattoo. You realy shuldn't expect to win one for that amount, just remain glad if you do.

Thats what makes a Rare item a Rare item. by not being able to get it easily. Sometimes you do, which is RARE. If new people could get all rare (special) armor in the beginning, then it wouldn't be special.

ShadyKoda December 24 2009 9:34 AM EST

well no it would make auctioning more realistic with higher intial bids so new people couldnt even touch the price

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] December 24 2009 10:07 AM EST

This is also why you ask around Koda. There is always someone with something that they are willing to sell or lend. This is one of the reasons vets are around CB is a hard game to play and the community is what softens the blow.

As far as something being stupid just because you cannot get it right away well "Tough". This Carnage Blender not Burger King you cannot have your way no matter how long you have been here ask around and you will see.

So my point here is this CB will not change just because you didn't get your way in the Auction House and also maybe if you try a few different avenues you might get what you are looking for, happy blending :-)

The auction works like this:
* you input your MAXIMUM bid
* your CURRENT bid is actually the LOWEST possible bid that is BELOW your entered number
* when somebody outbids you, the system checks if your maximum is above or equal to what he just bid - if it is, it AUTOMATICALLY adjusts your bid to at least match his bid
* only when somebody bids a higher maximum than your maximum his bid becomes the winning bid

You can always bid, say, 10 mil CB$ on an item usually worth 500k, and if nobody else bids anything above, say, 300k, YOU will get the item at 300k and the rest of the CB$ (9.7 mil) back.
Of course, if anybody else bids, say, 9 mil CB$, then you get the item for 9 mil CB$ and only 1 mil back.
If somebody else bids 10.1 mil CB$, they get the item for that much and you get all your 10 mil back.

As for newer people unable to afford it - ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?!?
The New User Bonus (NUB) not only offers you significant additional CB$ per fight, but it also grants you purchase of all your BA at ZERO COST (as opposed to the hundreds of thousands of CB$ other people have to pay for them once the NUB is over).
You should be able to earn 1 mil CB$ per day if you do well (or even more), or easily above half a mil a day without much of an efort - regular players without a NUB however, after purchasing all possible BA, would actually be lucky to save even 100k per day, probably less.
So please, don't talk about new players not being able to afford it, since it's precisely the exact opposite.

Sickone December 24 2009 12:51 PM EST

P.S. You might want to look into performing better - start fine-tuning your strategy, look around for targets of significantly higher score, be online more to burn all your BA, don't forget to collect your free BA and so on.
Oh, and... PATIENCE. Some people here have been playing for years to get to where they are, do you expect to get it all in a couple of days on a platter ?
