Aren't Highbeams bad for use in fog? In my experience, it just lights up the fog in front of me and I can see even less!

I'm with Joel on this one....
I once drove 50km with just the daytime running lights on and my head out the window so I could navigate via the white line in the middle of the road....

ya, I agree with the no high beams in fog. Same with heavy snow flurries, makes it harder to see.
Unless there is a certain color of high beam used. More and more drivers are using an off yellow or blue/purple type of headlight which is better to see in fog.
So it appears the consensus is that I can't make a thread title for the life of me. (Noted!) ;)
