The Book of Eli
Sherlock Holmes
Leaving in an hour or two.
Which one is the best option, and why? No spoilers please :p

I'd go and see Sherlock Holmes, but then I like Downey Jr and I'm partial to Guy Ritchie's films.
Although The Book Of Eli looks good, it doesn't really seem like a trip to the Movies...

I would say the Book of Eli. Why? Because I think Sherlock is a nice idea but that it lacks the proper detailed story.

I however would first watch The Book of Eli and a week later Sherlock Holmes ;)

Haven't seen Eli yet, but Holmes was far better than I expected. It was certainly worth the admission price.
I'm a big Sherlock Holmes fan, saw the movie yesterday, it's pretty good. Not as edgy and dark as I imagined it to be. Kinda a stretch too, the things that happen. The debriefing was hilarious in ridiculousness, but possibly only because me and my friends were high.
Going to movies alone is depressing :(

Taking wifey of course.
Child free this evening but loaded with the cold so don't fancy anything more energetic than movies.
See? Situation obvious.
Girls are too young for either, most likely. Since Madame Beee is the other movie-goer, Sherlock Holmes. If brothers/brothers-in-law/chums/mates/alternative-lifestyle-women, Book of Eli.
Definitely Sherlock Holmes, for what Bast said, and b/c every lady loves RDJ.
Haven't heard nice things about either.
Why would Book of Eli appeal to alternative lifestyle women? XP
Holmes. I heard Book of Eli was garbage.

Went to see Sherlock Holmes based on above advice and was a little disappointed to be honest.
The acting and on screen character relationship between Downey Jnr and Jude Law saved the movie. They really are very very good. Movie is too long and I spent too much time looking at my watch wondering how long was left for it to get any more than a 7/10.
That said, 7/10 isn't bad so I wouldn't recommend people to "not watch it". There's plenty of lol moments and some of the action and fight scenes are pretty good. The plot is obvious, but doesn't try to be anything other than obvious so that's not a let down.
Left me wondering if I'd made the wrong choice and should have went for the Book of Eli instead though. Most likely that wouldn't have been better however...
Which tells us nothing about how Mrs. Bee felt about her time with Bob and Jude.

"Holmes. I heard Book of Eli was garbage."
you're absolutely right. whatever you do, don't see book of eli. it was awful in sum
I've seen Holmes (and I loved it! First film i a long time I've not walked out of with some glaring criticism - Althought the sewer trip for a about 5 miles form Parliament to Tower Bridge was a stretch!), and Want to go see Book of Eli.
I love Denzil, and haven't had a Post Apocaplytic fix for a while. ;)

Saw Sherlock Holmes this evening, was a nice movie, but not too great.
I can't wait for The Lovely Bones though, it'll be out next week.
