So, how exactly did I miss? (in General)

As far as the questions ive asked recently make it seem, evasion gets rid of + on weapons, and thats it.

So if I have 350K Dex, the target has 0 dex and some evasion.

How exactly can I miss?

If I understand correctly, after its done getting ride of + on weapons to hit it will start eating into your dex cth. But it can't take it down below your base cth. So with tons of invasion and AoI they can take your hit chance down to only 20% (if your using a 2h).

Minus PTH can reduce you to your Base Chance to hit (depending on Weapon Type), but not lower.

Which is why some folk (myself included) take issue with the ELBows 100% BCTH.

Don't forget massive ranged penalties to hit!

The SoD and xbows get both lower base to hit and larger penalties!

All missile weapons get penalties to hit in the first 4 rounds of missile.

I think Titan figured them out exactly and they may be in the wiki.

The SoD and ex/axbow have a higher penalty.

I suspect to compensate for magic damage being lowered in missile.

not so sure about that... because there is also a damage penalty in ranged for weapons isn't there?

40% damage penalty for all ranged attacks.

DD spells have a penalty starting at i believe 30% shrinking to 0 with the first 4 rounds of ranged.

Ranged weapons have a cth penalty shrinking to 0 over the first 4 rounds of ranged.

there is. It's hard to notice in between the rounds due to all the randomness, but when I was running in the last tourney i noticed Shade was the only T char I could "Max hit" against cuz he was the only one that lived til melee while still being hitable

Missile weapons get a penalty to damage also in missile rounds?

not sure if the penalty is scaling, but I am quite positive that missile weapons hit MUCH harder in melee than in ranged. I'd find a post, but I gotta roll outta here soon.

It was the 3->5 round change. Melee ranged damage is higher if BGs aren't involved.

I was using BGs and still noticing a jump in damage. I'll be able to get some numbers once i have someone on my list that takes me to melee before my archer dies.

What Nem said, Ranger fight someone with your BGs off who you can hit in melee, you'll see the difference.
