Bored with the internet (in Off-topic)

I have a desk job. I'm really fast at it. So fast that my boss Laid everyone off except me and I do all the work now. No Problem, cause I'm so fast at it, I still have about 6 hours of free time in my 9 hour work day. I have surfed the web, looked up stupid facts, watched movies, anime, hulu. I've even read over 2,700 comics(Manga) off the internet.
The problem is, all the comics I was reading, I've caught up to, and now have to wait weekly, if not monthly for new releases. All the sites I watch videos on do not update fast enough for me. I find myself checking my Facebook every 15-20 minutes. I've even Wikipedia'd everything I was ever curious about.
Give me some ideas of what I can do on the internet at work. not so much in the game department, but I will try em out.
Go ahead and list anime's that are good and Manga's or Manwha's that are good, even though there is a pretty good chance that I already read them =P, and virus free sites that show the latest and funniest video's.
Thanks for the help CB Community.

Find out what happened to each and every person that got laid off and try to help them in some way. Maybe you should've been a team player, that way those people still could've had a job.
Lucky you

I know what they are all doing, we keep in touch. they hate me, but I'm here to rise up. My boss is 63 and has asked me to run the company for him when the economy gets better and the company grows a little more.
Then I can hire some people to do my bidding. MWAHAHAHA
P.S. I like pictures when I read, hence comics =P but awesome site.
I love you, dudemus. Project Gutenberg is quite possibly my favorite website.

Have you considered pornography?

You could do some pushups instead of going on the internet too
:O

I have considered porn, but its not prefered. I do exercise, I wear leg weights and do some kicks, push-ups, PLANKS! (if you don't know what planks are, they are boring and hard to do) crunches, and even have those squeezy grips.

I'm at work Slayer. My boss won't let me drag my desk and computer outside, cause the wind blows the papers around.
I repeat, I'm not a lazy person. I don't even touch computers when I'm home, but I'm stuck in this office for 9 hours a day, 6 of which I have nothing to do. nobody has more sites they can suggest?
I have even brought my guitar into work, learned some more songs, and practice karaoke, when no one is here.
online degree? get the boss to pay for it!

I would seriously advise looking for something deeper than entertainment. Learn. The internet is a great place for that kind of thing.
Sorta.
By the way, I'm still not entirely sure this isn't just a joke on the "Bored of CB" threads.
ask your boss to only have you work 3 hours a day so he doesn't need to pay you for 6 hours of wasted time where you watch anime and read comics... then you can do ANYTHING you want...

The "online degree" comment isn't entirely a joke. If your office is part of a larger corp., they may offer tuition reimbursement. What type of job is this?

Its a small trucking company thats hauls Modular Homes that are Factory Built.
AND WHY THE HECK WOULD I ONLY WANT TO GET PAID FOR 3 HOURS A DAY? I need money to pay for everything. I have an extra $25 a month that I can put in my savings. I actually need a second job. My Boss has no clue that I get the work done so fast. And besides the work, I have to answer the phone all day, but lately the calls are pretty scarse.
Online degree sounds good and all, but thats also a Long Term Commitment, and what if something goes wrong with the company before I graduate. And he did pay for me to take accounting before the economy crash, but now we barely scraping by, so he can't throw money away on my education.
college hours usually transfer. i think the university of phoenix has one of the larger online programs (someone else may know more) and if you start with the basics they should be able to really transfer to most schools. it tends to be much cheaper than attending college and even if you only knock out a few hours you can use your time to determine if you want more.
start with a three hour course and see what happens would be my suggestion.
also sounds like he can't throw money away on an employee who only works 3 of 9 hours a day... work your 3 hours then get a 2nd job. so you aren't so bored.
or use the other 6 hours to improve the company so he can hire employees back, and that way you are improving the company you will one day run... and then you don't need to worry about something bad happening to the company and losing this job... Maybe if you do a really good job he will increase your pay... wins all around...

I've always hated the concept of PUNISHING employees for doing good work and doing it fast.
"Oh. You finished all your work for the day in 2 hours? Well, here's some more!" What's the motivation to do better? Unless you have reason to believe you can be promoted, it encourages lazy and unproductive work from employees.
Even saying his boss should bring him on for 3 hours because he can do it in 3 just strikes me as wrong. He should get less money, because he does the work well? What?
That's how the world works... But it definitely sucks.

then who will asnwer the phones? Its not that I get the work done in the first three hours. One of my jobs is dispatch, so I get calls, schedual run. That doesn't have a time period, thats from open to close.
the stuff I can get done is Payroll, Invoicing, filing. But Permit orders are based on schedual, and I'm the Tech guy for whenever something breaks down, which is random occurance. and I think It would be weird if the Operations Manager was only at his Job for 3 hours a day, then at a Taco Bell working for almost half as much.

Pope, sometimes "just being there" is part of the job. I've held jobs like that. :P Just because you can get all of the day's work done in 3 hours doesn't mean the office should be empty each day.
animefreak.tv has a lot of free anime shows, more than you've seen I'm certain
g4tv.com is the internet version of the G4 television channel, go to Shows -
Attack of the Show -> Segments -> Around the Net or Break Moments in De-evolution for new entertaining youtube/break.com clips every day.
And then there's good old wikipedia, which is where I always went when I was at work w/o work, because it's not blatantly entertainment - you can learn a lot!
Edit: grrrr the new quote system ate my homemade arrows!

I've already improved the company. Now its ALL in the Banks hands. We move the homes, I schedule efficiently to not waste gas, but the Banks won't let people get Loans for their Homes.
Its all economy related.
but the point of the matter is, I like the internet. I want to surf more, get more usless facts in my head, and be up to date on the virals. Read Comics from other countries.
I'm the best at my Job, and there is nothing more I can do Job wise. My boss even stays home or goes golfing or snowmobiling, because I handle it all.
No more work, gimme internet.

If you're just looking for fluff to pass the day, then run a simple contest on CB. Just start a "what object do am I looking at" thread with a small payout. You can manage it when the phones are quiet, and you'll add to the community of the game.
Otherwise, head on over to MMAHits and watch some caged fighting.

I forgot about fights! Thanks Demi. Its been probably 6 months since I watched that stuff.
and that Animefreak site is sweet. I usually do anime-media, but I really enjoy the set-up and am watching something new right now.
Thanks!
Well in a more helpful realm I like the comic Chew, but not sure if you can find it on the internet to read... in fact I should look to see...
