Idea: Clan Wars (in General)

I can't take full credit for this idea, as the brawl idea gave it to me.
Every hour before recalculating the clan bonuses, your clan fights against the two clans above you.
If you are the top clan you initiate no fights, and 2nd clan will only initiate one. However most clans will end up being in four fights.
There of course will have to be a roughly 2-4 minute no fight buffer every hour as this processes.
Basically your clan has a huge fight with other clans, all minions partake and the kill order is lowest MPR to highest MPR. Basically all minions of all teams do damage every round, but they only target the minions of the lowest MPR character until they all die, then move to the next character.
You get 2 points for a win, 0 points for a loss and 1 point for a stalemate or a draw.
If your clan has more points than the clans above you, you get to move up in the rankings.
I can put an entire system of how exactly you move up and how far etc, but I figured we should just see how many people like this generic idea before coming up with specifics, so....

Oh and obviously it creates 4 links in your clan page where you can see the clan wars you participated in during the last hour.
so, your idea would replace the current method for determining clan standings or it would work in addition to it?

In addition to it.
The clan points would determine the intial standings, or who you would fight against.
Then you would fight the people near you to get a final standing for that hour.
Does the higher seeded team get treated as the offensive team? I think they should. Ex) My exbow can stops tanks from doing all damage if I'm on offense, but if I'm on defense, they get one shot off.

Possibly if this seems unfair, it could be a weekly thing instead, so on sunday maybe at 4 am when usually you get no bonus, this clan war goes off based on weekly clan points.
Then on sunday instead of no bonus, you get your clan war bonus which is the final placement from the clan war.
Maybe it can be 1/3 of the usual daily clan bonuses, so first place would only get 5% on sunday, and everyone would get less from there.
You get this bonus calculated sunday morning off weekly standings and then this bonus of up to 5% is calculated and used all week starting monday, and the daily clan bonuses comprise the other 10%.
So if you get first place one week, even if your clan doesn't fight at all, it will show 5% all week.
If you don't even place well enough to get a bonus one sunday, then the most you can get the next week even being in first place will be 10%.

I think the higher seeded team should get the bigger benefit in the fight since they worked harder for it, and therefore get first shot.
the current system really doesn't favor a clan full of powerhouses and i think that is one of its only redeeming qualities.
i do like the idea of clan wars being fought and broadcast like an arena fight occasionally but perhaps if it was tied to a different reward entirely then it wouldn't mess with the balance we have now in the clan system.
i see now your post from while i was typing, i like the sunday idea and would like it better if you just get a badge or title or somesuch. maybe a trophy or ribbon system that is passed around from week to week. all members of the number one clan could get a blue ribbon for that week by their name, red for second and white for third? i do think all of like the top ten clans would have to fight each other or use a bracket system.
the more i think about this the more it could really be a fun thing to watch, especially if enchantments were allowed to stack as if all of the minions are on one team. as well as interactions with targeting and things like invisibility, pl and leadership.

hmm.. maybe if you win the clan war for the week you keep your bonus for sundays. :) That would be nice.
