New NFL OT Rule Passed (in Off-topic)

Coin Flip no longer decides the winning team.

Finally after 50 years, the playoff OT rules have changed:
"The new NFL overtime rule states that the team receiving the opening kickoff in overtime cannot end the game on the first possession of the game with a field goal. They must score a touchdown. If the team receiving team scores a field goal on their first possession, the kicking team gets a possession to either tie or win the game outright."

Too many 'team'(s) in that last sentence, I meant to take that out, haha. Oh well, I 100% quoted the website I guess, =P

So we should change our Irongrid tournament rules as well? :p

it is still only for the playoffs.... the voting for the regular season is in may. Hopefully it gets voted in.

It's a slight improvement, but the system is still broken. Both teams should get a possession and a chance to win the game.

I've always hated the sudden death OT rule period, at least this helps a little bit.

This would easily solved by starting the overtime with a face-off.

Silly Americans and their complicated rules! :P
