no, there's a point to this thread. I just wanted to say thanks for introducing this 'Player Council' idea. It's nice to see that, even though you've been working to help revive this game all along, you're now actually creating a visible, public mouthpiece for the community.
I'm not trying to downplay your earlier efforts. It just makes things seem more optimistic to me when you're actually essentially saying "hey, come summarize what we really need here for me, so I can spend more time working for the game and less time forum-sifting for the content I need."
Example: Jonathan might be doing a ton of preparatory work in the game mechanics where we can't see anything right now, re-writing the entire game to make it infinitely better in ways we can't imagine, but afaik he's just not interested anymore. It certainly looks that way. So thanks for showing publicly that you ARE interested, and that you're still tied to this community and interested in what we have to say.
I also want to extend that thanks to both the player council itself and to the rest of the community, to the PC for volunteering to take on this role and to the community for continuing to optimistically throw out ideas for change to try to keep the site alive. I love CB (the community) and want it to stick around, and realistically that means keeping CB (the game) as an attractive feature to draw people in.
I'd also like to clarify the first sentence of this thread as an open invitation to everyone. I'm not really picky about free coffee. In fact, I accept most free food types. IA once offered a possible hotdog or something, he said he made good hotdogs.
