Missing Retired Chars (in General)

It seems that I am missing a couple of my retired storage characters. I should have retired characters called Storage Mod 2 and Storage Mod 3 who have 10 katana on each. But they no long show up under my retired characters.

i don't see them in the alphabetic list of all characters are you sure you didn't rename them?

Any idea what their id was?

Also, do you know when they disappeared?

They disappeared some time within the last month or so. They would have had 1 minion named 10 katana. As for why they might have disappeared could it have been because they were only 1 mpr characters?

I found your vacation character just fine.

My original CB2 Char disappeared as well the name was "Cawez" :-/

Only thing I can think is that it was auto-purged for some reason. Backups only go back so far, so I'm not sure. I will do my best to find it.

You found my Vacation Character in the "All Chars" page Nem? Dude, "he exists but has been retired" says to me that retired chars do not show up.

that is the part that makes it sound to me like the list of all characters would have him though, it is at the end.

I grepped the entire database for "Storage Mod". Only references to 2 and 3 were in this thread. I will see how far back backups go.

There's no retired chars in that link dude, perhaps it needs to be reworded, I just checked for your triviapot.

Would looking at records of Nem's Katana transfers help? If you have the records, you have the recipient characters.

yep, you are right, i was just stating that the wording sure misled me at the bottom. nice to know that it does not show the retireds.

Good news, I found it in the oldest backup... so now I can start getting somewhere.

Ok, so apparently we do purge retired parties under certain circumstances. Apparently, you met those circumstances.

So what happen to be the circumstances? I was hoping to create long term storage characters that could be retrieved for 50k to an admin.

It looks like the criteria are somewhat confusing:

No references in any transfer logs

retired for 2 months and PR (or MPR, not sure which) < 50k and NW < 100k
or
retired for 1 month1 and PR (or MPR, not sure which) < 1k and NW < 10k

Yeah, at 1 mpr, 77k nw and being retired for about 2 months sounds about right.

I knew i was missing chars! Just wasn't sure enough, nor did i care enough about the ones missing to make a thread about it :P

This should probably result in purge notifications to the user, much like retire notifications. I'll check on that.
