Multi Tasking... (in Off-topic)

Everyone multi-tasks these days so let us know what some of your most... unusual... multi-tasking moments.

I, for example, have eaten a bowl of cereal while in the shower.

I also shave while walking to work (electric razor ftw)

I'll give 200k to the most spectacularly awesomely wrong pairing of tasks.

I sometimes read while sleeping.

I have also talked on the phone while exercising and playing CB.

I have tried doing my homework while paying CB. most days it doesn't work out too well...

I'm not very good at multitasking. On day(s) when my attention span is somehow longer than 5 seconds (I think it happened, once), I can use my stationary bike while watching Rambo.

It's pretty manly, but not very impressive.

Every year at the Download festival I drink, toke and put up my tent at the same time, the tent happens to be the last to finish.
Not managed to set the tent alight yet despite the mixture of fire, alcohol and fabric :P

I once managed to hold a conversation on the phone, whilst stopping a nose bleed and, ahem, doing something else.

I was once texting back and forth to get directions to a party while on State Road 7 doing 50 on my scooter (and go figure the only time i ever get hurt on one is as a passanger while the driver is doing things properly)...

I just ignored my mom lecturing me for 1.5 hours while I was driving. And at the same time I was listening to my mp3 player singing out loud until my lungs got sore... and then ate a BANANA! I <3 Bananas... and I still love you mom xD

Interestingly enough, multitasking is a misnomer. It's mentally impossible to consciously do two things at once. However, it's amazing the scope of what people can do subconsciously. Which is why they've allowed people to talk on cell phones while driving. Driving is done in the subconscious while talking is done in the conscious mind. Scary isn't it.

What's scary is you're driving along, then you arrive somewhere and you have no idea how you got there.

My most awesome multi-tasking moment was when owning at Battlefield 2 (IO Karkand, ending second best in that round) while teaching my roommate how to program somewhat complicated autoHotKey script for his game.

Another one was playing CB, programming for hinnovic.org and playing MTG with two friends while eating dinner.

For some reasons there are too many words flagged by the spellcheck.

right now as im typing this, I'm playing 3 games on the PC, I have 2 tvs going, one has wanted on it, one has NFSU2 on it, and im sorting through my mtg cards.

im also cooking dinner.

I think "un-multi-tasking" is more unusual these days.

C'mon Apple, get it together...

Most of my multitasking consists of doing nothing while staring into space. Impressive.

I have a attention deficit disorder and I try hard not to multitask. Else I end up doing nothing at all. ;)

i multi task by working at wal-mart and acting like a care about my job, while really not caring at all, oh and i play cb while im there lol Android phones FTW!!!

Spending BA while taking a poop. ;)

Spending BA and sleeping at exp time on Tuesday.

The issue is less the quantity of tasks and more the blocking I/O waits.

This works In my favor usually. When playing a poker game at one of my friends houses and I receive a phone call I will talk on it while its my turn (If I have a good hand) and pretend I just realized what I have when they get annoyed and ask me to go, I will then bet in haste and usually get a couple calls. More winnings :-)

If I am In a hurry I will often brush my teeth in the shower, I used to shave as well but now I have a goatee and it's too tough to shave accurate without a mirror.

I had a cookie whilst doing a number 2 in the toilet...
