Why won't my tattoo level? (in General)

Several battles latter....

So why wont it level? and yes I am training.

It is because your tattoo is named. Your MTL is actually still lower than your tattoo level. Unequip the tat to see what it really is.

I thought it was fixed so that it will level if named was over your max level.

It is. If your tattoo wasn't named your mtl would still be below your tattoo level. As it is you still need to get it a little higher.

Correct, but technically not quite 100% accurate, terminology-wise.

His "effective MTL" is exactly where it's displayed it is (9,080,595), and he can see his "base MTL" when he takes the named tattoo off (around 8,731,341).
Sadly, his "effective tattoo level" (9,434,472) is never displayed anywhere, he can only see his "base tattoo level" (9,071,608).

Your tattoo starts growing as soon as effective MTL >= effective tattoo level, which is the exact same moment your base MTL >= base tattoo level.

Ah well this all makes me sad.

Haha true! but I got so excited because I thought I could actually level it. Few more weeks :).

i am just glad that i am not the only one that was confused regarding this, even if i had to wait 6 months to find someone else! ; )
