T54: Follow the Rules (in Contests)
This is a very simple tournament. The tournament will begin with one ruleset. Every day of the week, I will change that ruleset. If you can follow all of the rules, you win! If you miss any rule, however small, you lose.
Every winner shall receive:
3m
The tournament will begin Monday at Noon, and end on Sunday at 6PM.
The Current Rules:
Character Rules:
- Your Character must be named accordingly: [T54]Username
- You must rename your first minion to my first name.
- Your second minion must be named after an astronaut.
Fighting Rules:
- You must fight only non-tournament characters after midnight.
- You must fight at least 160 battles, a minimum of 1085, but you cannot fight the same amount of battles as anyone else, or you both lose.
Forging Rules:
- You must have at least 200k.
Forum Rules:
- You must post in this thread, stating what you fear most.
- You must post a guess as to who my favorite actor is.
- You must post a short one paragraph story on how you plan to spend your magnificent tourney prize money.

500 battles challenged is my take on it.
cyclonic, i kill you too! ; )
Those of you with an [L] in your character name have lost! Good job, it took you one day!
Those of you still in the running, you will have until 6pm tomorrow to be in compliance with the new rules.
LoL!.
About half the tourney participants lost already ;)

Hey, it's hard to count to 500. I have problems getting past 21, and that's with my shoes and pants off.
The year was 1986. These we the earliest days of the PC vs Console war. There were very few Consoles and PCs could scarcely play games. Even before his existence {CB1}Slayer333 seemed to have an effect in this war for our entire family was shifted from supporters of Consoles to join the PC faction. Thus we have remained.

The year was 1992. Computers (PCs) are far superior to consoles. {CB1}Slayer333 runs this shindig and I bow before his tourney-running powers. Why you would dig another's shins remains a mystery to me.

The end.
In 1982 in Soviet Germany there had been no choice between Consoles and PC, they chose you. Later on I became a large fan of PCs as ego-shooters are unplayable with a controller. {CB1}Slayer333 seems to be a market analyst working in the ice-cream business, trying to find a market for a Matrix style products for game nerds.

I was born in 1970, before gaming consoles or computers were in most people's homes. One day dad brought home Super Pong and I was destined to become a console gamer. Sure, I like games on PC's as well. I played Zork on my first computer and had a game like Donkey Kong that used type characters for graphics, Doom was fun, but these days, except for CB, the games are on the Xbox 360. Maybe if {CB1}Slayer333 forgives my inability to count to 500 I can get back into this tournament and win $3,000,000 to buy a PC worthy of the games available today. The prize is $3,000,000 USD isn't it? No? OK, back to CB on my 5 year old laptop.

"You're absolutely sure on this?" {CB1}Slayer333 stared in disbelief. I simply nodded, scanning the familiar articles, photos and notes pinned across the wall in front of us. A spider's web of lines connected them all, ultimately converging onto a single spot on the timeline: 1978. Every piece of data which led to the overwhelming preference of PCs over gaming consoles -- a preference I shared -- could be traced back to this year. "The boss isn't going to be happy about this," he muttered with a sidelong glance as he wandered back into his office, leaving the door ajar behind him.

It was the amazing year of 1992. Computers are gaining popularity at a rapid pace, and has slowly becoming the main source of entertainment for many people (such as I), replacing console gaming.
TIME Magazine most influential person of the year, {CB1}Slayer333, briefly mentioned the possibility of a do-over in the tournament "Follow the Rules", which is the 54th tournament hosted since his service to the gaming community.
I take it the losers have has thier names renamed to include a [L] (and not retired so they can't create a new Tourny character)?

It was 1991. An ardent supporter for consoles in the PC vs console war, I was determined to take out Newlin. With the intel on his whereabouts from a reliable source, I had set up my sniper rifle on the roof of a nearby building and waited for his appearance. And there he was, all dressed up in a suit. It appeared that the information was right; he would be meeting with other pc supporters today. It was only too bad that the meeting would never happen. I carefully aimed at his head and pulled the trigger. There was a sound like the crack of thunder; people scattered in all directions with one exception: Newlin. Slumping to the ground in a heap, he was dead. {CB1}Slayer333 would be proud of the elimination of our rival.
I kill you Newlin! :P
It is common knowledge that consoles are far superior to PCs. Ever since my birth in 1991 I have enjoyed them more than PCs. {CB1}Slayer333 would have you believe that PCs are far superior and that it is easier to aim with a mouse. That might be true, and it is in fact the reason that I chose to be a console gamer. The strategy of first person shooters was just too easy for me, so I decided to take upon the difficulty of also mastering joysticks. From around when I was three and I picked up my Atari controller, it was console ever since.
Congratulations to those of you who followed my instructions!
ScrObot wins the do-over, usable once, giftable to any tournament player, and if you manage to make it to the end with it, worth an extra million!
You have until 6PM tomorrow to comply with my new demands!

Your second minion must be named after a famous figure who was assassinated. If your figure is the same as another players, you will both lose.
Someone who either can't or doesn't want to carry on with the tourny can purposely take someone else out with this. :(
With nothing the other player can do.
Might we have this rule changed please?

Your favorite actor is obviously Will Ferrel.
I shall use the 3m to buy more things from auctions since I can't seem to stop doing that. Then I shall start a glorious NCB that will probably die after day 3. After that, I don't know.
The thing that I fear most is going bald.
My guess for slayers favorite actor is Denzel Washington (I don't know actors so this is a completely random guess)
The transition from the bright outside into the relative darkness inside the store left her blinded for a moment. Wiping the sweat and a few stray hairs away, Natasha' walked to the back of the store where a well built man was hard at work at the forge. "Can you fix up my shield?" Natasha' tossed her battered mithril shield onto the table along with a sack filled with CBD. "Fighting with those titans fed by the USD energies from another world really puts a lot of dings into it." "Sure thing," he answers, "how much have you got in there?" "3 million that I just earned in a tournament." The man takes the shield and places a few test hammerings on the shield. "Come back in a week and I will have it better than ever."

I fear rejection most of all.
Your favorite actor is Christian Bale?
After I crush the competition (then again this isn't really a competitive type tourney) with my raw power I plan to further my strength by investing my winnings into my powerful weapon known as Mortar Strike. This additional investment will allow me to overwhelm my competition and beat them into submission. I would use the money to pay off my debt to Slayer but I would just end up re-borrowing it later for the same purpose :P
Definitely not a writer but it was never mentioned that it had to be a good paragraph.
What I fear most is that I will have to work till I die, no pension.
Slayers favorite actor is Carrie-Anne Moss.
"So you just stack it?" he askes amazed. "Yes". He shakes his head in disbelief and leans forward. "There's a purpose to everything you know. You can't just stack it for the purpose of stacking, so tell me: What is the real reason?". I sigh. "It's stacking. They didn't climb Mount Everest because there was a pot of gold at the top. They climbed it for the sake of itsel". He laughs. "You really believe this? You think they risked their lives just to get to the top of a silly rock? They did it for the fame of it. That's the reason." There's a moment of silence as I feel caught. "Well, it might be fame too, you got me there." He laughes again and pats me on my shoulder. "You know. Their fame was millions, no BILLIONS of people who showed their respect. And I guess they made a fair amount of money out of that. And you?" His smiling face turns to a sad look. "There are maybe 100 persons that would notice. And even most of them won't care." Now that's too much, I get off my chair gesticulating and taking a deep breath for my long and mean reply. But then I think for a moment and get back into my chair. "Well, it's my stupid hobby after all. I don't judge on yours, do I?"
I suffer from an irrational phobia, a fear of Spiders. It's strange as I find them fascinating and interesting creatures, but totally freak out if they come anywhere near to me.
Slayers favorite actor is Bruce Campbell

Greatest fear: Something terrible happening to my family that I can't do anything about
Slayer's favorite actor: Brad Pitt
"You see those guys over there? They're beat up, they're weak." The three weary warriors slouched in a dark corner, doing their best not to attract attention. "It's been a hell of a couple months on them. They need a break. But more importantly, they need to learn a few new tricks and get out of that battle-worn gear." Neither new armor nor training would be cheap, but that was a reality that he'd come to accept. "The armory will be our first stop." He clenched his hands at the thought of handing over the riches they'd earned. "But I will need your assistance on tracking down this kingdom's greatest warrior." Names were not needed; the mountains themselves knew of Slayer, for they had soaked up rivers of blood from his vanquished foes. A quick flash of gold coins was enough to seal the deal. "Good. We'll depart in the morning. Until then... send Dora's girls over."
The retort of hammr on anvil echoed around the Blacksmiths Forge. The Blacksmith paused momentarily as a new customer entered his worksplace. "So, what can I do for ya?" The Dwarven smith asked with a faintly Scottish accent. "My Gauntlets need improvment. I want you to strengthen the enchantment a couple of times. Oh and my Capacity Field needs its absportion increased by the same amount" The dual figure asked. "Heh, that'll cost you a fair wack" the greedy Dwarf's eyes started to widen in anticipation. "Don't worry Smith, I have here winnings from the lastest Tournament, suplimented by my own income from the arena. You'll be paid a handsome fee for your work". The Dwarf looks around the forge "You know, you could get this work done cheaper by one of your own...". "Yes, but I can't wait. I need these improvements now, and you're the fastest.". "Heh, that's what you pay for sonny. Well go one, pleace the items over there. And my fee of course. I'l start work right away.".
It seems only a third of us made it. :P
I'm assuming that the 6 of us who posted won, but I'll for Slayer to announce it.
