Making the dead zone easier (Suggestion) (in General)

If we want to make the 3.5mil+ score range easier to handle for N*Bs, it seems that the easiest solution (rather than relying on people to abandon characters in that range) is to assemble a team to work with an admin (slayer, maybe, as he runs tourneyprizes I believe?) to craft a selection of teams to be created and placed in "dead zone" score range.

what are you going to do when the scores are drained off of those "built" characters?

Womp August 2 2010 9:08 PM EDT

Build new ones.

then what you are suggesting is not a fix and won't be implemented... we don't need to over work our admins for something like this.

1. The dead zone slowly moves as the herd of players grows.
2. Score doesn't currently regenerate, so they would be farmed into oblivion quickly.
3. Fex is far too busy working on my chatmail notifier. ::stares at Verifex::

It would be a never ending cycle Womp. If those NPCs were created someone would have to run them to keep their score up or they would just be another abandoned char......

Womp August 2 2010 9:36 PM EDT

That's true, zenai, but this is better than nothing, which is what we've got right now. Less dead zone, even for a little while, benefits everyone by making the end game (4mil+ MPR) bigger and more competitive.

But then it comes full circle and we end up in the same position we started in, that equals a band-aid fix. We need a better viable long term solution otherwise we are spinning our wheels.

Demi hit it on the head with a slight idea there, if TPs Chars could "Regenerate" Score then that would be prime for the NPCs on the MPR Ladder.

Yep, all my idea. I came up with that all on my own! ::grin::
