I was trying that in the last tournament, but bombed after the first day so I never took it beyond the first day. I'll be watching you to see how it works as a single minion. Got it as part of my 4 minion team. Still collecting some gear for it.
I think you'd be better off with a ELB. Hal damage is pretty bad and to pretty much rely on it for all your damage just is not going to work out so well.
With the exbow you'd have to focus on tank teams, so be prepared for a small fightlist.
Also I'd throw some Dm in there.

The problem isn't with the setup, it's with your ability to stick with something. Just sayin'. Good luck.

If you want easy, RoS AS GA is probably the easiest option in existence. Challenge bonus is hardly optimal but it's easy to run and suffers from very few virtual MPR gaps (the exception being DM shotguns). 4-minion RoS AS GA + CoC (1 minion AS, one GA with AMF when no more GA xp is needed, one CoC, one PL as needed + HP), or a tank instead of CoC if you've got the money, would be my recommendation. MgS+TSA on the PL wall, EH on the AS minion, RoS on the GA/AMF minion.
very tempting Womp... one thing though... i have most of the equips i named

Ok. As a single minion Hal team I will help you out here. Trying to put a weapon on your character will cause one big problem. Your hal will be put up front. Hal's don't have many hitpoints and since it is going to be the main damage dealer and up front it will die first. This means your minion with the exbow will be left to deal the rest of the damage, which with the exbow probably won't happen. I hope it works but saying that is why I sold my SoD, because the hal being in front didn't really work.
so in other words do AS no weapon and then hal?

My 4 cents... Try it. I went from an Elbow to a Mage Seeker because I was getting my a** kicked by mage teams. I put a lot of NW into the bow, but I'm still loosing to them. Also had problems with big GA's. I think it can work. I was going to give it another run on my next NCB, without adding minions like I did this time to concentrate exp more. It also took a long time to collect the gear, and I have a lot of room to add some NW which may help.
It hasn't worked well in this run, but I'm keeping at it. I ended up with a pretty short fight list. You've experienced the result of that:)

Since the Hal's up front in this setup -- and clearly your main damage dealer -- why not look at adding a 2nd minion to act as a PL wall with massive HP to carry the Xbow and give your Familiar-wearing minion a different role?

I'd like to pass on a strat I got from GL.
Get four minions right away, and give one of them a RoE.
Train roughly 50% AS and use the rest of the exp for whatever you want to use as damage source.
Give your last minion MgS and/or EH.
Give your first minion MgS and/or EH and BoE.
Give your second minion SoC.
Give first and third minions AoI, second and fourth AoF.
You spend no money on healing since all your HP is from AS, all the NW on your base minions don't count against your PR so you get higher challenge bonuses.
I also put the items on my main damage dealer in the order of:
Corn->spellboosters->noldorin->AoI.
And I didn't put the AoI on the first minion till an AoI was on my RoE.
Until you have the AoI's out you can move your damage dealer around to beat certain opponents for high CR, in the front for MM, in the back for tanks.
AS, AS, AS, GA with a familiar of your choice
Easiest strat to run. Best challenge bonus you can get.
You can Still go with this setup Tal, only one tweak DBs. I know I sound like a broken record all the time but seriously DBs will make this work a LOT better. You cannot hurt what you cannot hit.
When I ran The Z Experience I made a splash with him. Almost the same setup but with DBs. The ExBow at the time was just too weird on how it worked before the change so I dropped it in favor of a MSKer. This however is no longer true of the ExBow and you may be able to pull this off. Bottom line that change made all the difference.
If its one minion you are aiming for I personally would see to it as Frozens character Blighted. Its con is that its tattoo lvl dependant to win, but very versatile with TA use.
2minions If youre interested. Try
1: HP/Tattoo
2: HP/PL/TSA,
The 2nd minion is obvious, the 1st has great options to use a ToA with some big weapons, or use RoBF with AoI.
go as the grim reaper and go full st with a scythe, no hp and no dx just st
