DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] November 30 2010 12:07 AM EST

I'm totally against NUB sellouts, which we haven't had one in forever..

Also I've kind of been following the Corath situation and from the looks of it he is just trying to get back money that was owed to him from Jiraiya. So I'm okay with this particular sellout situation. :)

Invader Sye November 30 2010 12:08 AM EST

i'm not a hoarder like some people xD all i need is money to pay forge fees xD

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] November 30 2010 12:12 AM EST

I just so happen to like to bring this little topic up once and a while to keep people on their toes ^_^ But anyone willing to put their foot in their mouth is okay by me to post in here *smile*

"Once in a while" makes much more sense.

Sickone November 30 2010 6:45 AM EST

If you aren't going to buy from sellouts who are you going to buy from ?
Might as well say "don't buy CB stuff from any people" instead, it would make almost as much sense.

Canibus November 30 2010 6:49 AM EST

Friendly reminder; dont hit people in the face, and remember to drink a glass of water once in awhile. Paper > plastic and sorry i cant be more condescending :o

If they are gonna sell out I say let them. They will do it sooner or later anyway and persnally I would rather sooner as the longer they are here the more they debilitate the game. Honestly it's why I have done so in the past, helps me and others in the long run. I buy them out cheap and pass on the savings to others that need it.

It's a win, win and win scenario as the sellouts start to see that they will not make as much change as they thought, real players get what they need at a discount and I get a bad element out of the game I love.

Just my two cents on the matter.

miteke [Superheros] November 30 2010 9:05 AM EST

You are not a sellout if you are just recovering your money. You ARE a sellout if you have run your NUB and are selling everything. Typically these types of people then just start a new run and make more money to sell. this is a bad thing. It depresses the worth of what serious players make.

Demigod November 30 2010 9:27 AM EST

I agree with this. What a player brought to the game matters most. Those trying to profiteer by abusing the NUB are sellouts (remember the naked runs from early last year?). If someone earnestly purchased from other players along the way, I don't see the player as a "sellout" regardless of how long the person was here. And if someone spent over five years dedicated to the game, I don't see how that person is a blip on the radar either.

Now Burton on the other hand...

Just to set the record straight, in case of any misunderstandings, I was not talking about Corath. My statement was generalized and aimed at NUB Sellouts.

BadFish November 30 2010 1:27 PM EST

Go ahead and buy from sellouts... just don't do it during a bloody charity drive... use your money for something 10000x more meaningful.

Demigod November 30 2010 1:45 PM EST

You mean the charity drive that most of CB is shamefully ignoring?

Please wait until after the child's play charity drive is over. Taking business away from that is really poor form. AdminNS ~from Corath's CBD sale
i'm very blunt. things are always on sale (especially during the holiday season) just because there is a charity doesn't mean that people should stop selling. It's one thing to ask for donations, but it's another thing when a charity drive tells someone to stop doing something so they can make money. It's nice that you are running a charity drive, but please don't impose on other people's business. Ask nicely, and if people feel like giving, then they can.

BadFish November 30 2010 3:30 PM EST

Totally disagree with everything you said Sye. :/

Invader Sye November 30 2010 3:44 PM EST

I'm fine with that badfish xD I wont tell anyone what to do or how to think, but I can give advice and my perspective. It's your choice on how you want to interpret the things people say and do. I believe that everyone has a choice to do what they want. People don't have to have sales, charities, or be nice. It's all a choice. Pretty sure the Matrix Trilogy expressed that theme with plenty of fighting and shooting xD

You all can ignore my post if you want. You're all individuals and it's your choice.

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 30 2010 3:48 PM EST

Ok I'll be blunt too:

No you do not HAVE to buy from a Charity. BUT
Selling the same product at the same time is LOW.

No you do not HAVE to stop selling while a charity is going on. BUT
Doing so at the time is undermining and rudely opportunistic.

No you do not HAVE to give it any attention at all. BUT
You can have some patience and wait for it to finish first if you are selling the same stuff.

Yes we all have schedules and whatnot but seriously have a care for others at the same time. Most of those kids are terminal for crying out loud have a freaking heart!

I am the one running the charity drive, and I have done no such thing.

thank you for clearing that up x3
