Okay this contest has two parts.
The first part is to come up with a contest for me to run.
Prize for this is A Jigorokano Familiar lvl 766,008. I will pick winner. If no has a good idea I may run a lotto and keep the small Jig.
The second part is to run this chosen contest to raise money for Child's play. Prize for this is A Jigorokano Familiar lvl 5,376,036
Since that time is almost up it's main goal is to raise money and not items, so the first part of this contest will be chosen on creativity and it's ability to raise money. (I will be keeping enough for xfers unless and admin will be kind enough to move these free of cost.)
NW on these are approx 14m and 94.5m
Hmm I was always a fan of Draw the Straw/Pick a Number. Make it cost X amount and then do a virtual drawing/number roll call. To make it fair I would give the Winning Straw/Number to an outside person for confirmation. Simple and effective!

Always enjoyed the following game, never heard a name for it.
Split everyone up in to 2 person pairs. Its entirely up to them to decide who 'wins'. They can choose to flip a coin, play chess, one can buy out the other, one can give up, but they have to decide the method together. Often ends up with coin toss and buying out. It's a neat little game because watching how other people decide can be fun. As each group gets halved it gets more competitive and things like chess tend to show up, etc... Last person remaining gets the prize.

adsill's post
Does everyone start out with some sort of fictional currency or something?

No. The catch is if they don't decide who 'wins' in the time limit they both lose. So it becomes worth their while to settle for a coin flip at worst. Or if one feels unlucky to offer up the 'win' in exchange for some CBD. It's interesting because every single pairing ends up different and it tends to quickly weed out the disinterested.
So this is all the ideas that all of CB can come up with?
I thought we had people with intelligence here. :-P
If even so these are no small prizes, no motivation to think of a half brained idea and write it down for a chance to win?
Bah I say to you BAH!

Since the main goal is to raise money for charity, why not run a charity poker game? You'd have to find a free poker site with private rooms, but a seat at the virtual table could cost 100k CBD. The winner of each round gets 2.5X the ante (so not a ton), and the rest of the proceeds go to charity.
Get money, play Texas Hold'em, lather, rinse, repeat every few days.
Roll the Die.
$____ Buy in (Subsequent buy ins get re-rolls)
Pick Faceoffs from those who sign up.
Find an online Die Roller. Roll for each set, post the winner. Rinse repeat.
well not some bad ideas, but nothing like I was hoping for. Apparently people don't like free items for a moments time.
I am going to do a lotto.
Something like 500000 numbers 100$ each.

500,000 numbers of 100CBD each??? Are you sure about that? I'd hate to see the chart you'll use to monitor it. Might I suggest fewer numbers for more money?

this
IDK if you've ever run a raffle on here before, but I can tell you that 1000 numbers was WAY too much work, much less 500,000.
I suck at charts to begin with...Someone help me not fail please.
100. Slots 200K Buy In use a Random Number Generator
Okay so...sounds good Zen..anyone want to run this for me for 1 million CBD?
