Build me a strat around my bow? (in General)

I plan on forging my bow when I get it back to X30,000 +200, I did the math and it should take roughly a year. Now over the years I've seen tons of large bows and even more fail strategies centered around them. Build me the most well rounded strategy you can think of, I have a decent melee weapon also so the specialty crossbows are not out of the question.

How many minions, are you opposed to also having a huge AC set?

well rounded and bows aren't exactly two words I'd use together...

Well to not run into encumbrance issues I think it would have to be either a one to two minion team to start out. Or possibly even a 4 minion RoE team that could have some nice potential also :).


I"m not opposed to it at all, to be honest I think where allot of other large bow teams have gone wrong was having no form of defense aside from maybe a bit of DM, and large DB"s, which really just isn't enough in my opinion.

Your right I would need a nice DM for sure but I don't want to rely on that solely. Just because it's so annoying when teams don't have any sort of ED and then 30-50% of your experience is wasted.

I'd go for the "massive individual hits, low DX" thing that I'm doing now, but with an ELB. STR is everything, screw DX, and large HP to protect that STR from Exbows.

With +200 and a 100 BTH, you should have no problem hitting without the DX, and that's a lot of XP that can go into ST and Archery.

Remember that the ELB is not forgable. You will have to go the route of either a Mageseeker or Sling of Death if you want to do the forging. Are you forging a Mageseeker?

It's currently an Ex-bow.. Don't forget about the ranged salvage yard it can be switched to any of the top 5 bows ;).

Going to give away my super strat but here you go.

5.6M MPR ~ 35M levels, this is what I'm working with, if it's a little off, my bad.

30M levels one minion

5M levels on another

12M lvl tat

RoS + AoI + BoF
2M SS
3M AMF

Full AC set
19
8( boosted to like 9.5M )
10( lowered to like 7M )
3 VA

That's it, simple enough. Works better with a large melee weapon, and a medium sized ranged one. Weakness to insanely large DDs, I'd recommend an MoD or BoTH for the weapon, if you go with BoTH and your ranged weapon isn't too large GA is a joke, I finish with more HP that when I started against GA teams. Oh, and it would take like 18M levels of DM to DM your SS, about 12M for your VA.

Oh, forgot, Decay is pretty necessary on the ench, take a M out of SS/AMF for that.

Who does 22M damage in 8-9 rounds with 70% damage reduction for DDs... no one...

You can get 400AC for around 100M too btw.

That bow might be a tad large for what Titan was proposing, maybe; I don't know much about how AC reduces GA.

415AC reduces GA to only 7% return, so if your AC is this large, GA is really no worry, 415AC is about 125M. Which also got me thinking, it might be worth dropping VA and going GA to counter high DX tanks, and larger Decay teams, won't really help with high AC decay teams though. (Although those don't like really exist)

Working on it...Give me another couple of months to hire my 4th minion :)
