Pretend for a moment that there is no internet, how would your life be different?

I'd be a very happy houseless person with a lot of books

Porn would be harder to hide...

Outside would be overcrowded again.

What do you mean 'IF'? There are those of us who remember when it did not exist. Back when you actually interacted with people in the real world instead of hiding in our house and going to a chat room.

I remember school before computers...

Paper and pencils and books oh my!

I'd still be inside playing console video games.

Without such easy sharing of information we wouldn't be as advanced of a civilization. Look at our rate of progress before and after the internet, its much faster now (in some ways, some things never change.)

I'd be out of a job.

I might actually get some work done, and have room on my desk for things where the comp currently sits.

My books would be on shelves instead of of in cardboard boxes alphabetized and by genre, I'd be up a few thousand dollars from not paying 20ish years of internet fees and there would be no talk about how horrible other people are because of MMOs and anonymity...

There would be no Dwarf Fortress... my life would remain forever incomplete from the lack of stupid Dwarves doing my bidding, most of the time anyways, and dying on my whims.

Only the people who didn't even laugh would know what Sen. Simpson said re: today's old people not liking today's youth because of the Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dogg and Enema Man.
