Tattoos (in New players)

Hey guys, I was wondering where/how do I get tattoos? I'm fairly new and haven't been able to find anything within the Help! section.

Hey Minibob! The places to find tattoos are in the Auctions and from other players. Lesser tattoos spawn in the store, but quite frankly, I'd avoid wasting valuable time on them.

What kind do you need? I might have one lying around that you can have. :]

Actually...I'm not really sure haha. I'm not sure what all of the various tattoos do honestly. I probably should have looked into it more before I said anything. Something decent, I guess? Again, I'm not really sure.

All regular tats can be converted into anything else by using the Tattoo artist to 'ink' to something different. So really the first tat you get doesn't matter all that much as in the beginning its more important to start growing one, then to worry about which one it is.

If you take a look in the Wiki you will find descriptions for all the various tattoos there are. Most of them are familiars which spawn an extra minion that is dedicated to a specific spell, however there are two familiars that are based on physical damage.

Then there are other tats which can help out with different strategies, like the ToA, ToE, and RoS. (I don't expect you to get all the shorthand for this stuff yet so don't worry about it, just read the wiki and you'll start to catch on.)

For you I would suggest taking any of the magic familiars, A steel familiar would probably do you well early on.
