New Tat suggestion (in General)

I have a new tat suggestion. Rune of Avarice. It stays at lvl 20 just like RoE and adds 25% of the NW that would be added in a fight to the tat to your rewards instead.

Well, I think it would really make people feel like they are getting somewhere if used with an ncb. It would net you a little more than selling to the store but if you have a larger tat obviously you can probably insta down it for a higher %.

It seems like a band-aid solution to a larger problem. If the NCB feels broken, then I'd prefer someone fix it rather than accommodate it.

But since the NCB won't change, this is a viable solution for vets -- but there is a concern of it being used for disposable "investment" characters and further devaluing CBD.

Coming from a vet that started a new character with a small amount of cash (about 200k) from an old character & of course my own personal knowledge of the game, I have to say that the NCB is NOT broken. As the old saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Yes I can get massive amounts of xp making it easier to be able to get to the higher levels of play but running a tank (any tank) or wall means you have to keep up with NW on items..not easy to do with regular cash rewards. In addition if you run a mage (solo or team) then NW is not a very big deal at all in the early parts of the game therefore additional rewards are not necessary.

Anything that turns xp into cbd (which is the basis of the new tat idea) would mean that people would start new characters just to make money (ie throwaway characters mentioned above)

Simply put if you have been here long enough to get out of NUB then you should know enough about how to play to be able to deal with regular cash rewards even with increased xp.

oh one other note..my last post was built around NCB & NUB in relation to the tat idea..for those that are in neither your rewards should be pretty even for growth.

Basically there is no circumstance that you can be in that would mean you needed more cbd for your growth, with of course the exception of personal choices (ie. bad decisions on equipment/upgrades/etc)

There are way to many ways to make money in this game from fighting to forging to giving out loans etc. Any increase in cbd rewards would only lead to people taking advantage of it.

This would be easy to implement, but I think it would too greatly affect the BA:CBD ratio. I'd have to ponder it.

This really isn't as large of a CBD increase as people seem to think it is. Currently you can always cash out your tattoo at 16% of the NW at any time. You can also try to insta down it to another player for a higher rate. Often times if you have a large enough tat or someone who wants your tat you can get at least 25% all the way up to near 100% or more of the NW difference.

All in all this gives people different option and would mainly only be used for people who already have decided to make a throw away ncb run or want to make a strat based around a higher equipment nw and no tat.

the easiest way to keep things like this from being an issue is to implement something like blacksmith bucks that are non-transferable. this would give us many options for drops, tats, contests, etc.

almost no one would ever use it then dude. That relegates it to near useless status. I could just grow a tat and sell it to the store then use that money to get something forged and get farther.

if it works the same as cbd but isn't tradeable, why wouldn't it be used?

ah, you couldn't pay forgers, i see your point now. creating a whole transaction system for forgers would likely be too much work for any token system.

I like the idea of blacksmith bucks. Generate a tiny bit every time you fight, and you can only redeem them yourself at the blacksmith.

That way those that bankrupted themselves form an ncb can still forge their wall gear ;)

This suggestion would allow for more freedom in that respect and allow for you to exchange your drops for blacksmith credits.

Also, some form of credit system could be tied in with BA, and not just in fight rewards. That way forgers will receive them as well.
