Steam Summer Sale (in Off-topic)

ScrObot July 2 2011 2:41 AM EDT

Just an FYI that it's Steam's annual summer sale (they also do a winter one usually) with different deals every day. There's also the "get achievements for redeemables and raffle entries" thing this time around. The daily deals reset at 1pm server time, and there are others that are good through the 10th.

You can typically find some great deals... I've already picked up a bunch today, including Heroes of Might and Magic 5 + DLCs for $5, Shatter for $2.50 and great old school RPGs Eschalon 1 and 2 for under $5 each. I already had SpaceChem but you may want to check that out at $5 too, try the demo first, it's a pretty cool game if it's up your alley.

Magicka and Hoard acquired today. I see at least one of you has been getting in on the sale action as well. (=

In the past few days I've gotten:

Blood Bowl
Lead and Gold
Plants Vs. Zombies
Alien Breed 2

And I already had Magicka, but I grabbed the DLC since it was on sale ;)

With games for which you can get a "4-pack", they normally sell 4 licenses for the price of 3. So I snagged a 4-pack of Borderlands licenses. I gave 1 to my friend, and then I decided to sell the other two :)

I love this sale. So far I have grabbed the following:
- Magika with all DLC
- Armada 2526
- King Arthur Collection
- Sims 3 with all DLC

Just wish that this had occured when I got Shogun 2, could of got it for $30 off.

Oh and how could I forget Sanctum!

Also: For those who don't want to spend money, don't forget the free games Steam has, like Team Fortress 2 and Alien Swarm. And a few FTP mmo's like Spiral Knights, Champions, and Forsaken World.
