NCB advice (in General)

QBJohnnywas July 15 2011 5:50 AM EDT

I'm a little bored with my current team, but I don't want to dismantle it because the set up is a good one. So for the first time in a long time I'm considering an NCB, for fun rather than anything else. It has to be for fun rather than a serious run because I don't always have the time to commit.

Anyways what advice can anybody give me? How easy in the lower levels is it to build a char? Any particular strats or gears that make it easier right now, I'm easy in that respect, I have no particular strats I'm intending to do. Would something like an RBF be worth it lower down?

UC up to 100k is good, Single minion RoBF with heavy HP and some amf can get far with the right gear, SMFBM with DM goes far quite easily, and a decent 4 minion RoS strat can be run completely gear less if you really wanted to.

If you are doing it just for fun I would suggest trying out something you've always wanted to try out before and just see how it does.

I've run most strats apart from the RBF. How are things for targets down there?

If you are looking for 100% CBs the whole time, few and far between. If you are just looking to fight people for fun, you should be able to track down teams that rely heavily on mages backed by as/ga. Large HP, decent amf, and the robf go a pretty long way vs those teams.

:D double SG still seems like a really cool idea...

same as my build but replace the ROBF holder with a SG mage holding a EF

the best strat down here is a strat with a decent AMF, cause most of the characters down here are FB/MM mages.

I think early a named MSK is the easiest.

a named item is always a good start >.>

And the a possible transition into a ToA dm shotgun with just BGs, HoC and x's on the SoD. You'd pretty much only be gaining PR from the ToA, while having a pretty good strat. Fairly cheap and successful.

hmm :3 or a plain FB FF strat is cheap to :3

Yeah, but I don't think it's as good if you have the money to keep the x's high.

But, if you wanted an extremely cheap strat, could go named RoE/DM/FB, would have a very limited fight list, but should have good challenge bonus, and 4% bonus to xp, if you don't care about growing a tat, then when your MTL gets above your big tat, you could start using it.

for fun, the biggest bang for my fun-bucks was my junctioned jiggy with an soc team. the only downside is the built-in evasion actually hurts overall.

i still think an soc damage battery would be a fun team to run.

a cheap and good growing strat is a RoBF with Evasion AMF and GA with a SM.
