you dont normally train Dex, unless you are doing something sneaky.

mages can benefit from dex already as it allows them to fully use evasion.
There are times when it could be worth it, but in general its not worth it to train dex for a mage.

What if they have Evasion? Is it worth putting your dex above the evasion to get full affect?
You can, but you will be taking away EXP gained that would be better used for such things as a strong DD or EO and HP
In general it is wise to concentrate you experience on only a few stats and not spread yourself thin.
