I'm moving there Jan. Anyone know the area well?

My parents enjoy the area, at least every winter. *smile* Get ready to be surrounded by "snow-birds" from just about every point north of the Mason-Dixon line, at least for about half the year! Especially Jan thru Feb...

I suppose a lot of folks flock to Florida, too, so your probably used to that part.

I think if you keep the A/C cranked, it is a pretty nice area.

I lived there eight years ago. The summers are brutally hot. But the people are very nice and the job allows me to spend more tome with my family.

Yes, S. Fla is nice. However the people here are quite nasty and unfriendly at times.

I used to live in Scottsdale and always wanted to go back. Now I had the opportunity. No nights, call or weekends with my new job. More time to actually see my kids grow up.

it definitely goes by fast, my baby is at college now and turned 19 last week. it will be gone in the blink of an eye!
