Help me understand. (in General)

First, this is not a rail on the exbow but an attempt to understand something.

Vs Construct the following happens:

Mick Taylor shot a maug warrior with Vengeance of the 4 Winds [1866910]
a maug warrior shot Mick Taylor with stone spitter [245468]
Mick Taylor looks weaker!

Next round:

Mick Taylor hit a maug warrior with Vengeance of the 4 Winds [862449]

So vs Construct in 1 hit of 245k I do not lose all my strength.


Now:

Vs Piper at the Gates

Mick Taylor shot Satan's Gift with Vengeance of the 4 Winds [1543097]
Astronomy Domine absorbs damage [1,124,352]
The Gnome shot Mick Taylor [226748]
Mick Taylor looks weaker!

Next round:

Mick Taylor hit Satan's Gift with Vengeance of the 4 Winds [416]
Astronomy Domine absorbs damage [416]
Mick Taylor shot Satan's Gift with Vengeance of the 4 Winds [401]
Astronomy Domine absorbs damage [401]


In both battles, this was the first hit with the exbow. My tank had a full 22M hp.

Why do I lose all my strength vs Piper who does less damage than vs Construct?

The base unmodified drain changes depending on the amount of X on the exbow. The higher the X the more drain whatever the damage.

I had the impression that past 4K X the drain in % was high enough to drain anything in the negative and the extra X was only for getting enough dmg.

Well I think that is incorrect.

Even Piper sometimes, with less than 200k damage does not completely drain all my strength. But any hit over 200k seems to drain it all.

Novice almost always never drains all my strength in multiple hits.

It just seems way to easy to hit even 1 time in missile with no PTH and a less dex.

O well.
