Gauging D2 Interest (in Off-topic)
Would there be some interest in getting a CB game of D2 going sometime before the release of D3?

Why didn't you post this back in 2004?! I would have been all over it. Now, I really don't have the time. Plus, I played that game too much.
Heck yeah! In fact, I was playing D2 with a friend today - it would be a blast with more people.
Is it worth the campaign for me to buy it if I play on playing d3? I looked and it'd be like 15 bucks.

When you beat the solo campaign, you start over again with your stats intact -- and enemies scale with your growth, so they get much harder. It's worth the price of a few beers.
You bring the beers, I'll bring diablo :P

IIRC, you can choose your gateway, so you should be able to play too if you wanted

Oddly enough, I threw away my copy of D2 last month. I couldn't find the code to go online anyway (I think there's a required code... it's been years).

well, i got it done and i think i can come up 2 hours before this post.. (my time right now is 10:33 PM) all i need is gateway location + Ip/Port. and time ofcourse.

I may attempt to drop in at some point. I've never played D2 multiplayer (blasphemy, I know), just single player.
I recently started Titan Quest as well, to hold me over until Torchlight 2 then D3.

I got the game going i can play but only on TCI/IP and i cant host due to double layers of router (VOIP).

then use the given IP to connect. :)
