CoD MW3 (in Off-topic)

I just bought it.

I have to say, Meh.

It is so like the other game I feel I am in a time warp. Newer plot of course, but nothing real different from Black Ops.

Tomorrow I get my reserved copy of ES5.

bah all cod rocks..

btw what ES5 means?

Skryim in <10hours... MW3 would have been a waste of money for me.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Skyrim. Probably won't play that either though. I'm looking ahead to Bioshock Infinite.

lol.. if i got the money to buy one.. i wont. ima pirate it cause i can use my cash for better stuff :P

People buy CoD MW3 for the online gameplay, not the single-player story. Otherwise, these FPSs are just six-hour rentals. And as long as the online play is a slightly polished version of the last, it'll be a winner.

I'm with LB. Can't wait for the new Bioshock :)

Ah, indeed. I think if I ran a new character today, I'd not even make it to 6 BA.

Over on MetaCritic I am not sure I have ever seen such a huge disparity between critic's average scores and user scores for a game. Critics are giving CODMW3 something around a 9.0/10 while users are a 2.6 (on close to 3000 ratings).

2.6 on a 1-10 scale is beyond believable. Methinks there's a prank going on, similar to the childishness of 4Chan.

There's a pretty big CoD / BF rivalry, so I'm sure at least part of it spawns from that.

Yeah, I thought the same thing -- I suppose it isn't hard to "stuff the ballot box" on something like that...
