something I learned today about CB (in General)

Unappreciated Misnomer February 21 2012 7:10 PM EST

You cannot loan items from one character to another! Well you can choose the option to loan but the system really just transfers the item permanently. I know most would ask why this matters, it does if you have a character packed with items for rentals. I thought rather than rent my own item I would borrow it for testing and return it to then place into rentals.

AdminNightStrike February 21 2012 9:25 PM EST

So just transfer it back ....?

TH3 C0113CT0R February 21 2012 9:47 PM EST

you can't because that character is over the limit :P

I must have broke something; b/c there is definitely more than 10 weapons on that char.

Areodjarekput February 22 2012 12:19 AM EST

In case Titan isn't joking: you had one ranged and one melee weapon equipped on each minion (8 weapons total). Then, you sent weapons to the character up to 10, and unequipped the items that were on the minions.

The real maximums are 18 weapons, and 42 pieces of armor unequipped on a single character.

QBRanger February 22 2012 12:19 AM EST

I think admins have the ability to have more than 10 items on their character.

I know TP does.

Areodjarekput February 22 2012 12:21 AM EST

Allow me to add this to my previous post: the drop system can give you an item when you already have 10 unequipped items. As far as I know, it is the only thing that can.

I WANTS IT MORE INVEN @.@

QBJohnnywas February 22 2012 6:04 AM EST

I have 13 unequipped items of armour/tattoo on my main. There were 15 on Monday.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] February 22 2012 6:25 AM EST

JW, did that include drops? Dix has 25 unequipped pieces of armor and 50 unequipped pieces of armor.

QBJohnnywas February 22 2012 6:28 AM EST

No drops, but several rentals. In fact I just rented another which took me to 14 pieces on there.

QBJohnnywas February 22 2012 6:33 AM EST

Had to think about it for a moment, but I actually haven't had a drop on this char.

My other storage chars only have 10 items on each. And I can't move any more items onto those.

QBJohnnywas February 22 2012 6:37 AM EST

Ok through renting a few more items I've just raised the number of unequipped items on my main to 19.

QBJohnnywas February 22 2012 6:42 AM EST

I can't buy anything though, tells me that would put me over my limit of 10 items.

AdminNightStrike February 22 2012 8:16 AM EST

The limits basically say "If you're over ten, you can't buy or transfer more". They don't restrict every possible way of moving items around.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] February 22 2012 9:24 AM EST

The real maximums are 18 weapons

I currently have 24 unequipped weapons, and all of them were placed there via transferring using "permanently" option; not loaning.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] February 22 2012 9:25 AM EST

The limits basically say "If you're over ten, you can't buy or transfer more"

Does it not check to see if you can transfer it to yourself, I just checked and I can still send stuff, up to 25 weapons now.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] February 22 2012 9:27 AM EST

Checked to see if I could go higher, I'm at 32 weapons and a few dozen armor.

Areodjarekput February 22 2012 9:32 AM EST

I cannot transfer more than 18 weapons or 42 armor in any manner - have you seen the limitation message since you became an admin?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] February 22 2012 9:38 AM EST

Well when I buy stuff, I still have the 10 armor weapons thing; but other than that no. But, I don't often try to break it either, this is the first time I've tried in a very long time, since it reminded me of it.
