Question about GS and haste. (in General)

Does the bonus you gain in STR and Dex augment your encumbrance during battle?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] February 22 2012 12:17 PM EST

GS most definitely; but I believe they both do. I don't know why 1 would and not the other.

Ok great, thanks.

Dexterity, and therefore Haste, have no bearing on ENC.

GS certainly increases ENC.

AS does not increase ENC.

EC cast on you lowers your strength and therefore your ENC.

Getting hit by the exbow in battle does not lower ENC as it is determined after all prebattle spells are cast and is not calculated on a round by round basis.

I don't know why 1 would and not the other.
Jon's reason was that Etherial Chains (or was it Dispel Magic?) would be too powerful if Encumbrance was split between Strength and Dexterity, so it was concentrated in Strength.

Yeah, I was meaning why GS would and not Haste. I forgot that DX didn't grant ENC; thinking about it, it makes more sense.
