Useless Phone company!!! (in Off-topic)

So, yea, net was supposed to be back up on the 7th, no luck, mnsi (net company) comes out on the 8th, says Bell(phone line company), has to come out and hook it up they can't touch it...

Bell comes out today, 9th, hooks 2 freaking wires up to a box and leaves, still no internet. Call mnsi, they call bell, bell says they are done, mnsi says they have to send bell back out....

BELL never shows up.. I had to trace and track my phones lines back to the box hook up the RIGHT wires... WOW useless people...

Sounds about right.......lol

lol, yea good thing i have an electrical background.... not for phones but its all the same when it comes down to it, find the power (24v) put it were it wasn't :P

mnsi, ended up telling bell to hook up the wrong lines, bell hooked them up and never even thought to test the stupid things. worst part was mnsi was guessing which wires were the right ones, because the old junction box in the basement was being phased out, there is 4 apartments so when the new junction box was installed outside they just jumpered everything to outside instead of pulling the lines out and hooking them all up to the new box..

And mnsi had apartment 4 hooked up instead of my apartment 3, apartment 4 never had phone or internet so it didn't matter, but it did to me.. lol, so I had to trace back the correct set of phone line - re jumper it and hook it up to the new junction box...

lol and if bell isn't happy about it, they should have showed up and did the job right the first time.

Had to do the same thing at a Duplex I was living at when they hooked up my crappy neighbor with my stuff. Mind you they were stealing my cable for a couple months BEFORE the company would listen to me. They just charged the hell outta me and said "Oh your lines are only affixed to your side of the house." I Caught them in pictures rewiring MY cable and send it in. They came out and once again said it was done right. So I had a friend teach me how to wire up a fake box and rewired it so my cable stayed safe. amazingly my cable bill dropped and when the neighbors DID try to do it again I FILMED it, followed them from connection point to front door(got closeups of faces and all.), called the company and told them to try and refute THAT evidence. All I got was: "Well I guess you were right have a month of bonus channels on us......" All I could think was you butt nugget of course I am friggen right and hell no that bonus channel for a month crap is NOT on you I already paid for it!

In short I feel your pain bro. The "Blank" Company will always think you are an idiot when it is actually them. They will never admit to it and always give you crappy options you would never agree to as a way to use as evidence that they tried. Just do what you need to do bro and good on you for fixing their crappy work.
