Ive been contemplating this one for a while and never got around to getting any answers til now. I like to be literal when someone asks for a couple or a few of my skittles. What im looking for is someone to fill in the rest if possible at all. ill give out 25k for each number that is solved for. there are words I have to give out but never placed them: some, lot, handful.
1 one
2 couple
3 few
4
5
6
7
8
9
10
11
12 dozen
You left out Baker's Dozen.
Fiver = 5
Half dozen = 6
Tenner = 10
Learned these when digging into some sumerian.
4 = Palm
5 = Hand
6 = Fist

Why is "handful" greater than "a lot?" Unless we're dealing with grains of sand, I vote to flip those.
Half wouldn't be 6. If I asked for half the brownie, I don't expect them to give me 6 brownies x]. Now half a dozen would be 6.
Also, I agree with the flipping, but I don't agree that you can quantize a lot of those words.

Handful is five because five fingers is a handful

Not if you're dealing with my old shop teacher...

2 - Duo/Duece/Dos
3 - Tre/Triple
4 - Quad
5 - Nickle
7 - Lucky Number
10 - Dime
