Executioner's Sword................ (in General)

If it was next to get a buff what kind of buff would it get? The Heavy Crossbow got it's buff to basically be the Vorpal Blade Ranged counterpart. Would the ExS follow a counter part like the ExBow? If not what would you think it should be?

I do not believe an ExS acting like an Exbow would make anyone want to use it. If an Exbow can do all the STR draining in only 5-6 rounds why use a 2H sword.

Well I haven't seen HxBow & VB combinations either but this doesn't mean that the HxBows are not being used. I think the same would apply to the ExS. There are a myriad of combinations to use that could make it useful. Large DBs, EC and ExS could be just the ticket to get some targets. Aside from this it would simply be another option.

well for the sake of stream lining items, ExBow=ExS :)

and someone add enforcer and executioner abbreviations to the spellchecker.

A Few ideas was thrown around and I have to say they might be nigh impossible to do but man they are pretty good. (Just my opinion of course.)

By percentages following the Upgrade curve the Executioner's Sword could:

Negate GA Retaliation
Dispel Enchantments

Now the percentages do not have to be high but of course enough to be worthwhile.

I think being an executioners sword a chance for bonus damage, like critical hit would be cool.

Minion 1 beheads enemy minion for x dmg.

Innate BL?

Innate BL would be awesome.

And it also wouldnt make it to overpowered, since its a sword and doesnt active the SoC flash. I think this would make it a viable weapon.

Innate BL would be my pick. A solid pounding weapon is much fun

Dunno where that would leave the BoNE.

Well BL technically is what would be considered a critical hit, it's just made so it isn't unreliable because that's against the point of a strategy game.

I really like the innate BL idea tho I think it should go to the BoNE. I think that the Executioner's Sword should get a damage bonus for each kill per battle along with the ability (that Nayab suggested for an amulet) to target the lowest HP enemy (making it easier to get kills and higher damage would go to the high HP minions)

You know this just came to me. The MoD does Double Damage to Ablative Shield users, Why not have the ExS be able to do Double Damage to PL Users? With this you could then Give the Innate BL to the BoNE :-)


Just a thought.............

Why not have it do amplified damaged based on the enemy AC... kind of like a Shocking Grasp effect. It sounds better than doing dbl against PL users.... because there are many more walls than there are PL users.

like, rend the armor and thus reducing the AC? :o

wait nvm, my eyesight is going bad lol

Well it's a good idea but I would think that similar to the Vorpal Blade as it goes against AC in some way. I could see any of the other DD Spells being used as a substitute for it though.
